Ian POV:

"Step out of the vehicle" The officers said from the the car over the loud speakers.

" What are we gonna do?"

"I don't know"

I looked around for something to help. All I found was a blanket. Which was useful. I picked Ameria up in my arms and placed her down a beanbag. I rapped the blanket around her. I was breathing heavily which meant she was sleeping soundly.

I smile slightly. She looked your cute sleeping like that.

"How are we gonna explain...?" Barley asked wondering what we were going to do. We had to be quick and fast. But right then. The side door opened and Dad limped out of the van.

 "Oh, no. Dad!"

"You have a long night there, buddy?" One officer asks

"Sir, I'm gonna ask you to walk this straight line"

Barley and I quickly slip out of the van unseen to the front of the van.

"They're gonna take Dad" I say putting my hand on my head.

"Okay, okay"

"Oh, I got it. The disguise spell!" Barley protested as he started to draw a diagram of the spell in the sand.

"You can disguise yourself to be anyone you want" Barley smiled.

"But what if I mess up again?" I bellowed not liking this decision. I couldn't afford to loose dad, and Ameria was out cold in the van.

"According to the spell, disguising yourself is a lie, so you must tell the truth to get by."

"As long as you don't tell a lie, the spell will be fine"

I had to do this spell it was our only option.

"Okay. Who are we gonna be?"

"Okay, we're taking you down to the station" The small officer says as she grabs hold of dad.

"What seems to be the problem here, fellow police folk?" I say trying to act as normal as 'possible.

"Officer Bronco?"

"Were you in that van?" The officer says

"Affirmative. And we will...I mean, I will take full responsibility for that fella right there, so you can just release him over to me" I say as sweat roll off my face.

"Hey, I wanted to be the front!" Barley wines as he nudges me from the back.

"No way. I'll do the talking" I insisted as I shook his hand away.

"Bronco, I thought you were working on the other side of town"

"I, uh, changed my mind"

Suddenly my ear changed back to normal. I had told a lie! I try to cover my eye but one of the officers notice. She turns the her flashlight on to see what was going on.

"Something wrong?"

"Just a little neck cramp" My hand suddenly turns back to normal.

"You have to stop lying" Barley whispered

"Answer every question with a question"

"What exactly are you doing out here?" The officer asked again.

"Uh... What am I doing out here?"

"What are any of us doing out here?" I say with a small shrug
