Chapter 7

TW: scars

Tubbo POV

I sat down next to Fundy, nervous at how Tommy was going to react. He wouldn't get mad at Ranboo for something in the past, right? No of course he wouldn't, Ranboo is his brother after all...

"The first time he went into an enderwalk was about two weeks after everyone moved in. everything had been going great, so nobody thought he would just turn. It was probably around midnight when I was woken up by thumping and clawing from outside. I thought that maybe it was a wild animal or an intruder, so I grabbed my crossbow and went outside. I didn't know he was in an enderwalk when I saw him near the edge of the woods," I paused, regretting having to dig out this painful memory, "I only noticed it when he turned around. I tried backing away hoping that he wouldn't attack, but..." I trailed off, tugging at the collar of my shirt. I looked up at Tommy before angling my chin to one side to reveal the deep scars on my neck and jaw, "I wasn't fast enough.'' I finished, glancing over at Fundy.

"It was actually Eret who heard Tubbo scream. In the heat of the moment, the only thing that mattered was preventing Ranboo from killing Tubbo. I ended up shooting him with two poison-laced arrows. We thought he would be fine, but one of the arrows had gone deep and he lost a lot of blood. The poison gave him a fever as well and if it weren't for Niki, he would have died." Fundy finished leaning to one side to peer out a window across the room.

Tommy sat letting every little bit of information sink in before looking back to Tubbo,

"So, you said two times somebody got hurt, when was the other?" he asked cautiously. I opened my mouth to speak, but was abruptly interrupted by Fundy,

"He won't be able to tell you the story as well since he wasn't there. This was over a month ago, Phil had gone for supplies earlier in the day and I was standing near the stable with Ranboo. Everyone else was off with Eret going for a walk in the woods or something like that. We had begun to pace around the front yard when Ranboo stopped dead in his tracks and collapsed. I went over to try and help him, but I didn't know what to do. I didn't think it was an enderwalk because this had never happened before. After a minute he stood up and looked down at me. When I looked up his eyes were purple and his skin was completely black. He tried to jump on top of me and strangle me as he did with Tubbo, but I rolled out of the way in time. Phil got back about then and landed in front of me to protect me from Ranboo. But for some unknown reason, Ranboo was intent on getting me. He teleported around Phil and slashed my side and face. After that was all over we started work on the tranq gun. Better to be protected," he finished.

I sighed and kicked my feet up on the coffee table. We had been sitting here for nearly two hours now and nothing had happened. Every now and then Fundy's ears would prick and swivel, but each time they just slumped back to their normal position. We sat for a few moments in silence before Fundy's ears pricked and he slowly stood up.
