Under the bright moon light, a large entourage arrived at the Shaoyang Temple's front gate.
With pristine white walls, tranquil atmosphere and large available living spaces provided by the Temple's inn, It was normal for many travelers and merchants to stop for the night at the temple before continuing on to the capital as the forests at night were too dangerous to travel.
Covered in the shadows of the large tree, a slim figure was wrapped in black clothes, leaving only her solemn dark eyes visible. Her long black hair had been tied into a high ponytail, which fluttered in the light breeze.
As she stood silently on the large tree branch. Her careful eyes watched the group of men unloading their stuff off the carriage.
After observing for a long time, her eyes fell onto the brilliant man standing in the center.
His long hair bundled loosely in a half braid, framing a perfectly chiseled face that held a charming smile and precious dark eyes that seemed mysterious.
Narrowing her eyes, Weilan frowned slightly as she continue to wait patiently until the candles in the main courtyard of the temple went out.
Another hour passed and finally seeing that green fireflies that had been released, she leaped gently off the tree she had been resting on.
Her cat like reflexes easily allowed her to travel the roof top silently, easily avoiding the patrolling Imperial guards until finally her black figure crouched silently on the rooftop. Pressing her body against the wall, Weilan hid within the shadows until the guards had moved on to the next location.
"How much longer are you going to silently watch me?"
A deep voice resounded softly just as Weilan pressed her body against the wall closest to the window.
Beneath the black cloth that covered her face, a frown formed between her eyebrows, it seemed that the man had already noticed her presence and had been waiting for her.
In the silence of the night, both sides said no words for a still moment.
But in a blink of an eye, Weilan leapt in, a short dagger in her hand as she lunged towards the man shrouded in the shadows.
He easily dodged her strike and chuckled charmingly,
"Only one person?"
With effortless movement, the two fought in close combat until it seemed that Weilan had no where else to escape, her breathing ragged and movements sloppy.
Realizing that the opponent was weak, the Song ShangHe laughed as he pressured his opponent into a defensive.
Sparks flew as their weapons clashed, the commotion had alerted the guards and Weilan's sharp ears picked up on the sound of rushed footsteps.
Clicking her tongue, she narrowly avoided a strike. In the moment she avoided the attack, she flicked her wrist, her dagger barely scrapped the clothes on his collar.
Narrowing his eyes, Song ShangHe smirked wildly as he internally activated his power.
'ZhiXi Awaken.'*
As a bearer, there were many different types: Some gain the ability to summon beasts to aid them in battle, gain physical enhancement and some able to wield devastating magic. It all depends on the type of stigma that the Bearer manage to contract with.
In Song ShangHe's case, upon hearing his call, a surge of power responded and flowed within his body. He felt his body grow in power, his senses sharpening. His mysterious eyes turned a deep violet, pupils contracted into a thin vertical slit.
