𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏 𝚛𝚎𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚖𝚎 𝚏𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚐𝚞𝚢𝚜.

Backbiting;malicious talk about someone who is not present.

Judging;to express a bad opinion of someone's behaviour, often because you think you are better than them

Many of us at some point in our life's have backbite about someone but we need to realize that it's not something which is good or normal to do so.

When you speak ill of others behind their backs, you're backbiting. Be wary. What they are and who they are, shouldn't be matters of concern to you. Just stay away from this bad habit and you're working your way towards Paradise!-mufti menk

Allah says in the Holy Quran: "O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, in deeds some suspicions are sins. And spy not neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah, verily, Allah is the One who accepts repentance, Most Merciful" (Quran 49: 12)

In this verse, Allah strongly forbids backbiting, and he compares the backbiter to one who eats the flesh of his dead brother.Yet we Muslim's continue to backbite why??

For Example:You visit a shopping mall there you see some girls not wearing hijabs or not dressed according to the islamic teachings,you tell it to your mom then to anyone else like*"You know today I saw two girl's not wearing a hijab like how can they even call themselves Muslim when they don't wear a hijab"*

It sometimes makes me sad when I myself judge someone I see and make assumptions about them when I know nothing about them.We all in this worlds we are so sinful people's that if Allahswt shows everyone our sins no one might want to talk to us or even sit with us.

The worst people are those who judge the fault of others, but blind to their own.-Iman Ali

Just because we see them some people doing wrong in public, this does not mean we are aware of their level of Imaan (faith) or the good deeds they do in private.A girl you see not wearing a hijab maybe praying with more concentration then you and would have better connection with Allahswt than you have.When you see someone and your mind is about to judge them according to there physical appearance tell yourself that they may become the most pious ones later in there life or they might be most beloved to Allahswt the least you can do for them is praying to Allahswt to guide them towards the straight path.

On the authority of Abu Sa'eed al-Khudree (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, "Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart - and that is the weakest of faith."

Speak when you know your silence can cause more harm.For e.g You see someone earning bad money or black money*(money earned through cheating, stealing, corruption, murder, and Interest, or any means that involve harm to another human being.)* in your family the first step you should take should be to stop him/her because if you don't then slowly and gradually all of your family might start earning black money.

Never consider yourself a perfect Muslim just because you manage to pray 5 times a day.Look at your own sins first and than judge others.If you want to correct someone and help them walk on the path towards Allahswt please do it a polite way rather telling them straight away that you will go to hell if you do this or that.
