Remus sighed as he clicked his phone off, burrowing himself deeper under the covers of his bed. He could hear Peter snoring in their dorm. His phone lit up once more, revealing a text from Padfoot. He was wishing Remus a good night. Remus sighed again.
Remus could feel himself starting to fall for Padfoot. He wasn't there quite yet, but he knew it was only a matter of time. He didn't know how anyone expected him not to. With his contagious bubbly energy, stupid humor, and easy confidence, it was inevitable really. Not to mention how accepted he made Remus feel. He didn't even know what the man behind the screen looked like! Remus guessed he was probably not far from absolutely gorgeous, but he didn't allow himself to think about that for long. He was already in too deep, much deeper than he wanted.
Remus stared up at the ceiling with his blanket billowing around him and keeping him warm. Even though his feet didn't quite fit under the blanket, thoughts of Padfoot were circulating in his head, and kept him warm. Remus was feeling cozy.
What didn't keep him cozy though, was the new information Remus had just learned from Padfoot that night. His affections very clearly lied elsewhere. They lied with a boy who seemed to hate him, nonetheless! Although, his heart broke for Padfoot, as he seemed to have gone through so much from such a young age, it was clear that the boy wasn't shown much love all his life, except for Prongs. It made Remus want to show him. It made him want to hold Padfoot deep in his arms, and run his fingers through his hair. Remus wondered if he had dark or light hair. He guessed that it must be darker, it just made sense that way.
Suddenly feeling restless, Remus aggressively turned over in his bed and shoved his face deeper into his pillow. Maybe Padfoot would realize that there were people out there who really appreciated who he was, and not some asshole guy who couldn't notice a wonderful person when they were right in front of them.
He huffed into the dark of his room before losing himself to sleep.

Meanwhile, across the hall and in his own dorm, Sirius rubbed his hands over his face before continuing his frantic typing on his computer keyboard. He was attempting to finish an essay that was due the next morning that he hadn't had a chance to finish earlier that night. It may or may not have been because of a certain mysterious random number, who was not so random to Sirius anymore.
Just then, James sleepily shuffled into his room, stumbling into the side of the bed before toppling over next to Sirius.
"Why are you still awake?" James mumbled into the blanket.
"Essay." Sirius answered quietly, focusing on finishing up his conclusion paragraph. After typing the last word, he mentally cheered and finally put his computer away before laying down properly next to James. "I just didn't finish it earlier, but I only had the conclusion left."
He felt James nod before he slightly turned his head to face Sirius'. Sirius looked over to meet his eyes, only to see a smirk growing on the other boy's face.
Sirius narrowed his eyes. "What." He said slowly.
"You've been glued to your phone for the past three months. Don't think I didn't notice!" James whisper yelled the last part, eyes widening in excitement. "You met a boy, didn't you?"
Sirius groaned. "No, James. Just because I occasionally smile at my phone, doesn't mean I'm talking to a boy. Maybe I just got a really fun new game!" He insisted.
James did not look amused.
"Okay, fine. It might be because of a boy." He muttered.
