Upon the arrival of the Shirai Ryu compound, a large purple portal was opened, where came Kotal Kahn, Erron Black, and D'Vorah exited from. After their last encounter with Flare, Kotal was sure to take their last chance for forming allies with Earthrealm for their battle with Mileena's civil war.
"Are you sure about this, Kotal?" D'Vorah questioned. "The Earthrealmers seems to make their point on not standing with us to help fight our war with Mileena."
"What choice do we have left, D'Vorah?" Kotal asked. "No one in Outworld will stand with me and after a long time, we only have one chance to fighting for Outworld. And if that doesn't work, what more could we lose?"
"Hold it right there!" Yelled the Shirai Ryu ninja above the entrance of the compound. There came Hanzo (Scorpion), Raya (Flare), and more Shirai Ryu ninjas came out of the compound as the gates opened and surrounded.
"You dare to intervene with Shirai Ryu? Leave or face our wrath!" Scorpion yelled.
"I mean no harm, Scorpion," Kotal calmly replied. "We only came here to talk and negotiate. We only seek to create an alliance for our issue with Mileena. She seeks to reclaim "her" throne in ruling Outworld, but I am only keeping it to making Outworld stronger and whole. You can ask Flare. She'll tell you." Scorpion then turned to his second in command to question her about their encounter.
"Is that true, Flare?" Scorpion asked.
"It's true, Scorpion," Flare answered. "Before you came back, they came to the compound while I was rebuilding it. They claimed to be in need of help with their war, but I thought of it to be a bluff."
"I meant my words back then, Flare, and they still remain true," Kotal added.
"We have no interest in Outworld Politics, Outworlder," Scorpion interjected, creating a large portal for the three of them to a dungeon in their compound. They fell down to the dungeon and knocking them unconcious as soon as they hit the floor.
Scorpion and Flare then teleported outside of the dungeon cell the Outworlders were in and had the ninjas chained them up while they were knocked out. They soon departed from the cells till Flare stopped them from walking away.

"What if it's true?" Raya asked. Scorpion and the ninjas turned to face Flare as they let their thoughts of doubt spread in their minds. "What if Outworld really is in desolation? What if Kotal is telling the truth and only wants to bring order and peace again to Outworld?"
"It is lies, Flare," Scorpion answered. "We are not to mettle with their settlements."
"Maybe if we just listen, maybe compromise," Flare rebuttled. "Think about it. A lot of Outworld's people have then suffered and seeked refuge to Earthrealm. Probably countless lives may already be dead."
