(Time Skip ~ Morning time)

Flare slowly opened her eyes to see the sun rise from the window. She slowly got up, stretched from her rest, and walked to the window to see Outworld's desolation, which was worst than how it looked at night time. It was not as bright as it was in Earthrealm. Flare then walked to the bathroom to take a shower and wash herself before beginning her first errand around Outworld. After some time of fixing herself, she then was able to find a cloak in the closet to put on her to hide herself among the people in case if they recognize her. She then picked up her mask and her katana before leaving her room.

She then thought of grabbing some money from her place in the Netherrealm before starting her exploration. She teleported to her place at the Netherrelam and pulled out a large book from her bookshelf, which turned out to be a chest of keeping her money (gold coins) for herself. She then teleported back to Outworld at an alleyway, near the entrance of the palace to avoid any suspicion. She lifted the hood of her cloak as she exited the alleyway and started walking around the area. Little did she know, Erron was watching her from behind, also making his errands as well.

From marketplace to marketplace, people were so desperate for money and food. Many people were on the streets, even children, laying on the ground due to being hungry or sick, not many businesses were running well. There was not even a sign of positivity around, especially for children on the ground, desperate for anything and not being around adults. So many broken families and tears were everywhere she looked that she even placed her hand on her mask. Erron, from far away ran into a large crowd of people, while Flare bumped into a young child, who was running from behind her, dropping his bowl of food to the ground.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, I'm sorry," the young child apologized, kneeling down for forgiveness. Flare then kneeled down to help the child up on his feet and helping him pick up his food and bowl, only for him to still look down and apologize again in fear. "Please don't take me to prison."

"For what, child?" Flare asked, as she helped him remove the dirt from his body

"For what, child?" Flare asked, as she helped him remove the dirt from his body. "You didn't do anything wrong." The young boy was afraid to answer her question as he was afraid of what his consequences would be.

"What's wrong, child?" Flare asked, looking concerned for the boy. "Where are your parents? Are they around? Are you lost?"

"I was in a rush to find food for me and my little sister," the young boy cried. "We haven't had any food for days and barely have any shelter to care for ourselves. My parents were slaughtered during some attacks from Tarkatans, so its just me and my little sister. My little sister is getting weak everyday, so I try finding food as fast as I can daily without trying to get caught. But I've had no luck."

"How old are you and your little sister, if you don't mind me asking?" Flare asked.

"I'm five years old and my little sister is 3 years old," the young boy answered. Understanding and sympathizing with the boy's story, Flare got up to her feet, grabbed some of her gold coins from her pocket, grabbed the young boy's hand, and placed them on his hand. The boy then looked at his hand and saw the coins and then slowly looked Flare.

"Take this, child, I hope this will help you and your little sister to get by," Flare offered, as she showed kindness in her voice, making the young boy smile.

"Really?" the young boy asked, in joy.

"Yes, but just promise me one thing," Flare asked, as she showed a smile underneath her mask.

"Anything," said the young boy.

"No matter how hard your lives are, always show and do kindness among others," Flare answered. "Because sometimes it can make a big difference."

"I will, ma'am," the young boy answered with joy.

"Rest assured, I will see to it that the Kahn will hear your story and will provide care, homes, and shelters for kids like you and your sister," Flare assured, making the boy more happy.

"Ma'am, are you an angel?" the young boy asked in curiousity. Flare thought of what her answer should be as she never thought of herself like that. But for the boy, she thought of something just so that the boy can still be happy.

"Mm,  Yes, I am," Flare answered. "Don't forget, no matter how hard life gets, angels will come and save you."

"Thank you so much, ma'am," the young boy thanked, with a big smile. "I won't forget. Thank you so much!" The young boy and Flare bid each other farewell before the boy took off with the money and his bowl of food while Flare watched him depart.

Erron, on the other hand, watched everything nearby. Seeing how Flare treated the boy reminded Erron, in his mind, of how the girl that saved him, was like her.

"She is very kind-hearted," Erron said to himself, making himself more desperate to know more about her.

But then Flare started to hear eerie voices in her head, calling her name as she was going to continue to walk. She placed her hands on her head, struggling to take in the pain. Though she tried ignoring them, she looked around to see what's causing it until looking at the ring that she found at Quan Chi's fortress.

"Thought that this was suppose to prevent me from hearing voices," Raya said to herself. "I must get back to the palace." Hearing her voice, Erron started walking back to the palace to get there before she does.

"And Flare?" Kotal questioned, as he stared at the view of his realm and his people, while D'Vorah, Erron, Reptile, Ermac, and Ferra/Torr stood back in awaits for their emperor to give orders and what their plan is.

"She took an errand around town and then ran into a poor boy in desperate need for food and shelter to care for his little sister, too," Erron explained. "She then kindly gave the boy some money to get by, which he showed gratefulness."

"Outworld needs more people like her," Kotal complimented, seeing that he needs to give Outworld more than just being its ruler. "When this war is over, I will see to give Outworld more care and help that it needs."

"Why do you follow her as much, Black?" Reptile asked. "You've followed her before when Shao Khan ruled, and even now with Kotal? Are you interested in her?"

"I've been given orders from him and Kotal to watch her in case if she did anything reckless," Erron answered. "Not that I expect a Saurian like you to understand."

"Erron is from Earthrealm as well, Syzoth," Kotal claimed. "and yet he is working Outworlders. I don't see what is the difference."

"For now, we have a word from Kano that he has an offer for him in regards to knowing where Mileena's location and he wants us to meet him at the Kove," Kotal explained.

"Do we have to bring Flare with us for that, my emperor?" D'Vorah questioned. "I mean, how do we know we can really trust her?"

"You don't," Flare answered as she approached the group. "I don't expect trust from all of you, and I know you don't either. But all you need to know from me is that when it comes to offers or deals, my allegiance and my word is my bond." The group felt assured that at least she's willing to comply and listen regardless of the standards, except for D'Vorah.

"I just went around town, just to see what it was like out there," Flare explained. "It's been years since I've been to Outworld and I just wanted to see how bad the sorrow was out there." Kotal gave her a look, feeling relieved that at least someone from Earthrealm was willing to listen to their issues as they've struggled for years.

"So what's the plan, Kotal?" Flare asked.

"We're going to the Kove to meet Kano," Kotal answered. "He claims to have information about Mileena and her location."

"Great!" Flare claimed. "Its about time that this beast goes down. So when do we leave?"

"Immediately," Kotal answered.
