Back at the palace, everyone was relieving themselves from the ambush. A lot of their warriors have been slained or injured. Flare tended to Erron with his bloodied hand on the way back from the Marketplace and at the palace for coming to her aid with Rain. His hand bled through the rest of the way to the palace, which Flare quickly grabbed a first-aid kit as soon as they entered the palace. Erron and Flare walked outside near a bench in front of the palace. As soon as they sat down, Erron started to unwrap his temporary bandage until Flare stopped him.
"Stop," said Flare, as he touched his hand from removing his temporary bandage. "Let me."
She then started to unwrap the bandage that was ripped from her cloak and then more blood was being spilled when it was removed. Erron tried bearing the pain, but it was too hard to hide it. She cleaned the wound and applied pressure on it to stop the bleeding. While Flare was holding pressure before applying alcohol to it, Erron couldn't help but mesmerize her despite the pain he is feeling from his wound and his treatment. As soon as the bleeding stopped, Flare then grabbed a bandage roll and began wrapping his hand.

"Thank you, for your aid with Rain," Flare thanked as she wrapped his hand without giving him any attention. "I owe you one."
"Of course," Erron replied, while looking at his hand but also staring at her. "Given the courtesy, if I may ask, how were you not affected with Shinnok's amulet? Usually anyone that gets blasted with that amulet gets decimated."
"That, I don't know," Flare answered while focusing on wrapping his hand. "Even with Fire power, I'm still trying to figure out what I'm really capable of."
"What do you mean?" Erron asked.
"Meaning, there's still a lot of things that I don't know about myself," Flare answered, as she finished wrapping his hand.
She then cutted the wrapping before closing it. Erron then let it go to feel it in comforting it. Erron then faced Flare as he felt comforted with her treating his wound.
"Thank you," Erron thanked. Flare took in his thank you as he continued to mesmerize her but also trying to process her answers. But before they could continue their conversation, an Osh-Tekk warrior yelled near them.
"EARTHREALMERS HAVE BEEN SPOTTED NEAR THE MARKETPLACE!" yelled an Osh-Tekk warrior, alerting the other warriors as he entered the palace.
"Might be another ambush," claimed another Osh-Tekk warrior. "We have to alert the emperor." The Osh-Tekk warriors left to find Kotal and inform them about the Earthrealmers' whereabouts.
Erron then decided to get up and find the Earthrealmers himself. But then Flare stopped him from getting up.
"I'll go and find out about the Earthrealmer's whereabouts," Erron claimed, as he attempted in getting up. "Thank you for your treatment, Flare."
