Ch.16 "Resignations"

Juno sighed as he paced around Aki's room.

" You got to resign, Aki..." Juno said as he continued to pace back and forth.

" The Gun is still out there."

" You don't have a duty to kill the Gun Devil, Aki!"

"...I have to...I haven't moved on, and won't be able to if I don't kill that Devil!" Aki retorted.

Juno stared at Aki with worry before sighing and sitting down.

" Look...I know how that feels- a lot of Devil hunters do- but what about the people who care about you? Himeno, Denji, Power, Me, and maybe even Makima. Do you think we want you to die?" 

" The Gun Devil is immensely powerful. It could kill thousands of Devil hunters in one second. Do you think you will put a fucking dent on it?" Juno said as he stared at Aki.

" And what about you? Do you want to die?" Aki asked Juno.

" You ask that as if I can fucking leave the Bureau. Us, devils aren't able to leave. As Makima said, We're here for the rest of our lives. But that doesn't apply to you. You're Human. You can live a normal life out there in the civilian sector."

" You think I can go to the civilian sector with my friend out there, dying again and again even though he doesn't want it?" Aki replied.

Juno stayed quiet and let Aki continue.

"...I know that it's impossible. But we have a chance now...With you and Denji. We can take care of the gun..." Aki said.

" so you're resigning. Good," Ayano said with a smile as she fed her sister food.

" Juno finally got through you, huh?"

" I always wanted to leave the bureau...Those two just needed guidance, and I didn't want them to die." Himeno said.

" hehe," Ayano giggled.

Himeno looked at her sister weirdly.

"...what's funny?" Himeno was confused.

" No, I'm not laughing at you. I just remember when you introduced me to Aki and Juno."

Their first meeting was...Awkward to say the least. The three were only 17 and they weren't really that best at social interactions. Frankly, like Aki said.

" I loathe social interactions." 

while as Juno said

" Meeting other people whom I have no single idea of who they are is one of the most energy-consuming things I've ever done." 

well back to the story. When Himeno introduced Ayano to Aki and Juno. Ayano's first thought was," Damn, they're hot." She was also going through puberty so, she was kinda you know...Thirsty. We know who she got that from...* stares at Himeno intensely*

Ayano introduced herself to Aki and Juno with a handshake. But only Juno shook her hand and introduced himself. But Aki only said his first name. After that, They only stared at each other awkwardly. Aki and Juno were a "bit" introverted. So that was one of the things that made the two become friends. at every get-together the special division had, they would be seen sitting in the corner together, awkwardly, while sipping soda. 

The two always would have their backs during missions. 

They would always help each other.

They were best friends. Brothers.
