Ch 4. The Edge Of Dawn

Y/N is standing next to Mr. Schue in front of the other glee club members. Y/N is nervous standing in front the rest, but looks at Finn, who is sitting next to Rachel. He let out a gentle smile which made Y/N calm downs.

"Alright people, we have a new club member, Y/N!" Schue announces excitedly.

"Uhh... hi." Y/N says nervously.

"Not to be rude Schue, but isn't he supposed to audition first?" Santana asks.

"He already did." Will answers. "Y/N has an amazing voice, and he will be a great member, but he has stage fright. So, let's support him to be more confident about his abilities." Schue smiles at Y/N. "Anyway, let's begin with the club meeting."

Y/N sits down next to Finn and Brittany and listing to the meeting. Although he isn't comfortable with singing in front of the glee club, he doesn't mind hearing other people singing.

It's currently lunch time. Y/N is standing in the cafeteria but doesn't know where to sit. Kurt sees this and walk over to him.

"Hello Y/N. How are you doing?" He asks.

"I'm fine, but... I don't know where to sit." Y/N confess.

"You can sit by me and my friends over there." Kurt looks over to a table where Blaine, Mercedes, Tina, Mike and Artie sit.

"Sure."

Y/N and Kurt walk over to the table and get greeted by the people sitting there and sit down.

"Well Y/N, what do you think about being in glee club?" Mercedes asks.

"It seems like a nice place to be in. I'm a little nervous about performing though." Y/N answers.

"Don't worry. You will get over it." Tina smiles. "I also had stage fright, but over time you will be more confident."

"I hope so." Y/N comments.

"Well anyway," Kurt changes the subject. "Now that you're in the glee club, you have to know the club's history."

Y/N looks at Kurt confused. "Why?"

"Just thought you need to know." Kurt answers.

"And trust me, it's really dramatic." Artie comment.

Mike nods along. "A lot."

And so, Kurt begins to talk about the drama of the glee club. About the many romances within the glee club played. First, Quinn and Finn dated, then Puck impregnated her, and Finn broke up with her and get with Rachel. Then Finn broke with her and get back with Quinn. Then he broke up with her and get back to Rachel. Y/N is left confused. And there was apparently even more love drama, but Y/N didn't bother to listing.

After the love drama, Kurt talked about the many times the club almost ended. Sue Sylvester apparently tries to end the glee club so many times. Kurt informed Y/N about the many ways Coach Sylvester tries to end the club. After a while, Y/N just blur it out because he can't remember most of it.

"And that's it. Do you have any questions?"

Y/N just look dumbfounded. "I can't remember even half of the drama."

"We don't blame you." Blaine responds back.

Y/N is sitting alone in the auditorium again. He wanted to practice some more. He stands on the stage, towards the empty seats and prepare for a song he wanted to sing.

Y/N hears then clapping. He turns his head back and see Finn with a smile.

"You're a great singer. I wish other people could hear it though." Finn compliments the H/C boy.

Y/N heartbeat began to beat more. He didn't expect anybody hear him singing, but remain his cool. "Isn't this the second time you barge into me singing? I'm starting to think you do it on purpose." He smile back.

Finn laughs shortly. "Whatever you think, it's just a coincidence. Anyway, glee club is about to start. Wanna walk together?"

Y/N hums in responds as they walk to glee club together.

The members of glee sit on the chairs as Mr. Schue is going to make an announcement.

"I've got some good news people. The musical I'm writing is almost done. All I have to do is double check everything and it should be done."

Rachel put her hand up. "When are the auditions going to take place?"

"About a few weeks." Schue answers her. "I hope you all going to enjoy it and going to audition."

Finn looks over to Y/N. "You should definitely audition. This could be your time to shine."

Y/N shakes his head. "Musicals aren't my thing. I'm more a person who just likes to sing."

Finn scoffs. "Well, when are you going to sing?"

"I dunno, next week?" Y/N just shrug it off.

"Deal. You sing next week." Finn smiles with satisfaction.

Y/N blinks a few times. "Wait- what?"

"You heard me. I want you to sing next week to the rest of glee club." Finn smiles.

"Or what?" Y/N says, doubting him.

Finn thought for a moment. "I come back to you with that one."
