Two years later...
I woke up to the sound of my blaring alarm. Yesterday me and Konan aided Pain on a mission with extracting the Six Tails. We were both extremely tired after the mission but I had to wake up before Konan so I could finally make her favorite meal, flame broiled fish. I wanted to make sure Konan was asleep so it could be a surprise. Last time I tried making the fish, when I went over to pan sear it Deidara wanted to help me make sure it was "hot enough," and ended up burning the fish.
When I went over to the kitchen I made a seasoning consisting of dry mustard, paprika, and black pepper. I decided to use sea bass as my fish, and when I put it on a wooden board and started painting it with olive oil, I was encountered by Kisame. "Can I have some, Joshua? You know I love fish," said Kisame as he was licking his lips. "No I'm sorry, but I'll make some for you tomorrow," I said as Kisame nodded his head in disappointment. I then started pan searing the fish, broiling it with a little bit of butter, I decided to put some paprika and crumbled crackers on mine, but I didn't think Konan would like the crustiness. When I continued to broil the fish, Deidara walked up to me and I knew there was going to be trouble.
"No Deidara, I won't let you cook again," I said firmly. "I wasn't going to offer to cook, I just want to show you my new art," said Deidara mischievously. "You can show me later outside, but right now I'm cooking," I said. "Oh ok are you sure? It's very beautiful," said Deidara. "Yes I'm sure. I told you I'm cooking right now so the art can wait!" I said frustrated. "Oh your still cooking?" said Deidara as he looked at the raw fish in the pan. "Well that's okay I'll just do it in the dining room so you can see for yourself," said Deidara as he threw a clay spider in the dining room hallway. "Deidara no!" I shouted but it was already too late and Deidara wasn't paying any attention to me. "CURSE!" yelled Deidara as he blew up the hallway, putting a hole in the ceiling. "What a blast!" said Deidara as the explosion was so loud you could hear it from a mile away, and I knew it would wake up Konan.
"What is wrong with you! Not to mention you put a hole in the ceiling and ruined my surprise!" I yelled frustrated with Deidara's carelessness and how he always has to ruin things. I was so pissed, all I wanted was to make a surprise meal for Konan but Deidara had to ruin the surprise, again. I used my Air Pressure Jutsu to pin Deidara against the wall to ensure he wouldn't explode anything else. "Pain, Deidara made another hole in the ceiling," I yelled as Pain and Konan entered the kitchen. "Deidara, what did I tell you about exploding things inside?" said Pain as he lectured Deidara about what is acceptable to explode.
I saw Konan look into the pan to see her favorite flame broiled fish, currently raw and cooking. "Konan I'm sorry - this was supposed to be a surprise," I said as Konan sat down in one of the chairs. "Why are you apologizing, Deidara put a hole in the ceiling. Joshua - thank you, you know what I like," said Konan as she smiled at me. We both sat there at the table, eating our fish until I heard Pain's voice, the voice I was dreading. "Joshua, Konan, its time to leave, we don't have time to eat," said Pain as we both got up and Ninjutsued with him to Konoha.
"It's another beautiful day," said one of the Hidden Leaf Village ninjas before Pain stabbed him with a metal rod. After killing the remaining ninjas, me, Konan, and five sages appeared. "From here on we'll be splitting into two teams. Now the world shall learn what pain is," said Pain before leaping so high up in the air a large wind current manifested around us. "Konan and Joshua, you're with the hunt," said Pain. "I know," said Konan.
"Disperse," said Pain as we all ran in separate directions, and I could barely tie in this event with a vision I had years ago, when I was contemplating about quitting the Akatsuki. "What is that?" said one of the villagers as they saw their house blown up by the missiles, a whole neighborhood, the skies reaping with destruction. I couldn't help but question why, why would launching missiles lead to peace? I saw giant sea crabs slice through buildings like butter as the people run in terror. Me and Konan interrogated one of the ninjas in hopes that we could find more information about the Nine Tails. Konan wrapped herself with one of the ninjas in paper, whitening him. I saw as Konan slowly started to develop life. "He doesn't know either -" I said as I walked into one of the buildings, but heard a bright blue buzzing sound before an explosion with grey smoke casted upon the entire village! I just wanted to run, run away from all the violence and the disgust.
