Refia let out a soft groan as the viper slithered closer to her, wrapping itself around her leg and climbing up to her hand to give her a note. The assassin already knew the Matrone demanded to know where she was. She shot a glare at the scaly creature and handed the note to Aether.
"She sent the note to you, not me." declared the individual with a smirk. "That means you have the honor of calming her down. Go on now, reply to her note."
She glared at them and took out a piece of paper from her breast pocket and used Aether's back to write her reply.
"We're coming.
Xoxo, Refia."
Alev snickered as she read the clearly mocking note and grabbed it from her, "Here, Blaise, read it." she said, extending the note to the girl.
Just as the huntress was about to refuse, a magical pull forced her hand to grab the note and read it. She let out a grunt as if to say that whatever trick Alev had pulled wasn't funny and chucked the paper at her.
"Careful." warned the golden-eyed witch, shooting the huntress a cold look. Blaise scoffed and flashed a rude gesture at the witch. She impatiently tapped her foot to the ground and waited for everyone to catch up.
"Come on, Blaise," whined the witch with a playful smirk, "I thought you had started to like me, too."
"Never." replied the huntress, her irritation growing by the second, "Can we just go? Let's get to the coven, do your weird cult initiation thing and get this over with." she pinched the bridge of her nose and waited for the others to catch up.
Aether's head spun her way and their eyes widened in shock.
"Initiation? What are you talking about?" the girl lowered the collar of her tunic to reveal her mark of the Oath. The circle made of eight arrows with an eye in the middle left a tingly feeling every time she touched it. "Oh... An Oath mark." they said, shooting a glance at the raven-haired witch.
"Your doing I suppose?"
At Alev's nod, Aether let out a sigh of frustration. "You have got to be kidding me, is that what you meant when you said a random witch claimed you owed her a favor? This is a straight up deal𑁋 no not even that, this is a binding of the souls!"
"It's not like I wanted it," she exclaimed, shooting the witch a glare, "You just showed up at my school and decided you could make a deal that would literally bind our souls together because𑁋 what? I somehow owe you because you healed a cut you made in the first place?"
Alev shot the huntress a sneer, "No, no, no, dear." she said softly, walking towards her silently as though she were stalking a prey. "You owe me, not because of the cut, but because I won't tell my dearest Matrone Şahmeran you are the huntress who killed Adi." her voice was dangerously soft and sweet, even while giving her a death sentence.
"The queen knows you've killed a witch, she doesn't know who it was and if it ever were to come out that you killed one of our own," she was right in front of her now, warm breath tickling her neck and her mouth brushing up against her ear. "Not even your gods will be able to help you."
Blaise clenched her teeth, "Bitch." Alev smirked, her satisfaction obvious in her face. She leaned closer to Blaise, causing the huntress to feel her blood boil and heat rise to her cheeks.
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill.
"Get away from me." she gritted out, mustering up a hateful look onto her face. She pushed the witch away from herself then took a few steps back. Alev chuckled and raised her hands defensively, an amused look on her face.
