"Father. "
"Oh dear you scared me!" Father  Patrick smiled noticing me.
I am just worried about not being cut off for my liver.... And even the tiniest change in voltage, tiniest of light flicker sends me in frenzy.. I keep on thinking about Wilson being at the crook of my neck .
I so badly wanted to scream off my worries.

"Just want to talk with you father."
"It's been years since you came to church, what's the matter Rosa? Is everything alright?"
I knew he could sense my worries. He always did. I'd been an idiot to vent up my anger for church on him when all he did was to be a perfect angel of a person..
"How should I say this... OK I'll just be straight. Father my parents and Mel well they sort of see things that normal people can't. I don't know anything anymore, it feels like I ain't normal while being the odd ball in the family."
He watches me intently and smiles tenderly
"You've grown up so much Rosa!" He smiles
"Well Rosie dear to answer you -
We are all our own masters and we are the seeds of God with a mind of Satan. God's power is ultimate, even a mind of Satan becomes hallowed place because thoughts control us, our soul is a light being and it is full of emotions and energy. We are capable of changing and evolving our mind just like Christ did. He faced all the evil spirits that a human faces, evil is produced by our own mind, it's a game of perception dear. I'm concerned about your parents, they come to church almost every day, they never told me anything of this sort and ohhh poor Mel too...? "I nod in affirmation.
" It might be stress at work, what they see might be their own fear taking shapes. As for the things that they claim that we don't see.. It is hard for me to deny their existence just because I don't see it..this is world is full of surprises and secrets.
You just need to believe in yourself my child, what you think is your reality and if you think they're sick then do everything in your power to make sure they are OK. " he says with the most subtle glance at my paralyzed arm.
I feel hope and patience brim in me at father Patrick's words.
" Father Patrick, you're the only one I trust in this church, the only one who talks sense. I wonder what crooked means were used to not make you the leader instead that father Ge-"
"Rosie dear, you can't blame other person for the present you're living. Perhaps he is more capable than me and hence was chosen." he smiles with sparkling eyes.
How can someone smile so genuinely even when hurt or perhaps nothing can hurt father Patrick. He was too nice for his own good. He would never let anything happen to church even if it stays right in devil's hands.
" Father Patrick I want to enter father George's room of knowledge. Is he here?"
"Yes, he is." he said with shocked surprise and disappointment etched subtly on his face.
"Rosie dear you've attended not a single of his teachings than why today? I am no man to stop you, infact I'm happy you are giving religion a chance in your life. Perhaps you would attend my room of knowledge as well just as you used to before."
"Most definitely father. Why wait when you can carve your way to justice"
She knew in her gut that there was something wrong and she was firm on finding that out.
Father Patrick showed her the room in which father George was teaching. She lightly knocks and opens the door to see a very surprised father George.
"Oh Rose dear it's you! What a pleasant surprise... I've never seen you in our discussions before. We are so very happy to have you." He smiles enthusiastically.
"Father George I'm here to ask you some questions if that's not much of a bother ofcourse. Father Patrick's words do not sit quite well with my mind." she hated saying this and was surprised to see a light nod from 3 of 5 people sitting in the room and a sarcastic smile on father George's face, it was enough to register shared ignorance and perhaps hatred for father Patrick.
" My dear, what does not sit well with your conscious is what your soul denies. Father Patrick is old now, he perhaps is too wrapped up in making his own stories rather than teachings of Bible." he says firmly, hands me Bible and asks me to kiss it.. to which I oblige... He then offers me a glass of water, I wasn't thirsty so I deny, he insists and I drink it, didn't realise I was actually thirsty.
" What should a person do when he thinks that he is right but all others state otherwise?"
He ponders on it
"Well then I suggest maybe take notice once, there's a chance when we may get blind to our own shortcomings."
Well, must say I like his reply.
"What do you think about ghosts... Or rather people being able to see ghosts.?"
"Well, I'd say that it's a sign of true Christian to see things that normal people are denied."
Rose felt her stomach churn..
"I want to see the truth."
"That you shall, you attending my teachings itself is a sign itself of your spiritual awakening!"
Her phone rings.. To which she excuses herself but apparently father George had to say some more, "Nothing is more urgent than God's work but you are yet to become a true Christian. You are excused now but soon you'd deny everything and only accept God as your prime source of existence. "
Rose just smiles, bows and exits. It was Josh's call.
