Rivet descended further into darkness.

Capture and Kill.

Every day, she'd be forced into doing more drastic measures to ensure the morality conflict went away.

I...

The other voice once helped in encouraging goodness faded more as the days went on. Three words were all repeating like a broken record.

Capture and kill.

So much she didn't even hear much in the real world anymore. Whilst Rivet's mind busied itself with saying sane, her body was used for other purposes.

Capture.

It pinned prey that the floor, mouth curling into a cruel sneer. Pure evil reflecting in irises once meant to do good. Or, as Ratchet said.

"To become a hero."

It sure didn't turn out that way.

The future seemed a lot darker now. Rivet often slept in a light doze. Thankfully whatever controlled her never made the actual conscious aware.

Unless punishment arrived then it's different.

Sleepwalking through life seemed almost normal.

"-VET!"

Until she's hearing a physical voice call her name. She gasped as of reaching the surface after gone diving, breathing in deep breaths.

She needed oxygen.

"What?" Rivet looked around. "KT? What are we doing here? How long's it been-"

The little yellow bot stood there. Rivet swore moments ago she was on her back. It felt completely normal. KT's eyes told a whole other story.

"What happened?"

KT could see the truth hiding beneath those crimson colours staring teasingly. It pulled Rivet to the surface of this exact purpose.

Taunting. Of freedom the emperor wouldn't allow.

"S-stop." Rivet clutched her head. "GET OUT!"

Once again, the feeling of pulled under ruled. Like an entire ocean plummeting Rivet's mind. She couldn't hold on too long.

She was only a creature.

And everything ran out of breath eventually.

She reached one hand to the surfaces making slight contact before she sank to the bottom again. The Lombax's desperation grew immensely.

"H.help.. A.." Rivet's eyes dropped, the water pulling the creature back into its grasp. "An..yone.."

The last words she forced out rang into the darkness' head. You can't truly rid a body of its consciousness.

Simply enhance its dark side.

Gets the job done.

All the resentment, bitterness, rage, Rivet built and suppressed over the years doubled in size. Manifested to create an abomination known as the dark. And she's not calling herself dark Rivet.
