What you wore ⬆️
The weather had cooled significantly. The breeze chilling your ears and nose as you walked down the streets. Air now sat crisp and fragrant of dead leaves.
You and Namjoon had been prepping for the tour for the last month. Dance rehearsal, vocal rehearsal, packing, and sound checks filled your schedules.
The two of you were filled to the brim with excitement as you took off on your private tour bus. The dark wood interior seemed to soothe your soul, reminding you that you're doing the thing you love with the man you just might love as well.
"Baby, come look!" Namjoon called from the back room where the beds were located. You walked from the kitchen to where he stood.
"Oh, there's one bed." You observed. Although you and Namjoon had been dating for over a month you hadn't gone to bed together. Not sex just slept... in the same bed. Intentionally. You were both way too busy and paranoid to stay over each other's house.
You looked towards him.
"Is this okay with you? 'Cause I can text Amina and ask for like, I don't know another bus or something."
He pulled you down on the bed. Kissing your cheeks and forehead.
"So you like it?" You joked, holding his face still to kiss his lips.
"We get to cuddle!" He giggled, shoving his face into your neck. He pressed you close to him, his arms sung around your waist.
Orange leaves passed by out the window. The air out there was cold but you were warm. With this man holding you like he hadn't seen you in years. The warmth was all you could think about, so warm and comfortable with him.
"You're like a kid Joonie." You trailed your nails down his wide back. The smile crept to your lips. There was no point in holding back.
"I think I like you too much." He grumbled into your chest, "I think I like you way too much."

~Flash back~
"All right Hyung, I understand." Namjoon huffed on the other side of the door. "No, I know. No, I'm not rushing into it. No, I'm not blindsided by her fame, I really like her, I do. We decided that there's no use in taking things slow with our lifestyles."You pressed your ear to the bathroom door. Your fingers tingled with the leftover excitement. You stood, fresh out of the shower, a towel wrapped around your body. You figured tonight would be the night. The adrenaline, the champagne, it seemed like the perfect time to be close to him. You listened to his conversation some more.
"Please don't, 'cause he doesn't need to know about it. No, I'm not ashamed of her! Don't even say that." He grew more and more frustrated, the sound of his pacing got louder.
You decided against entering the bedroom in just a towel in case things didn't go as planned. As you changed into your pajamas Namjoon shouted something in Korean into the phone. You had never heard him so mad. You couldn't tell if he was defending you anymore.
"I don't want to hear it. No, listen to me- you act like you weren't fucking fans while we were on tours! Don't fucking lie to me. It's a tour bus Seokjin! We could hear you!" He paused, "Yes. It's not the same."
He paused once more. You stood in the eerie silence. You assumed that Jin was saying something on the other side of the phone. You stood there against the door.
1 minute
3 minutes
5 minutes
You could hear the faint yelling. Joon must have been close to the door. Jin's squeaky voice was far too familiar. The countless videos you had watched of him throwing fits and reprimanding the boys. It was different now. Not as loveable.
Namjoon screamed something in Korean. You'd never heard him scream, not like this at least. His voice broke halfway through, his voice turning gravely. He yelled and yelled as if you weren't in a hotel.
"I can't fucking stand you, you know that. You make this so fucking hard." He breathed out. "Don't tell the boys. They're under enough stress Hyung. I swear- No you'll scare Jeongguk."
You couldn't help but wonder how this situation could scare Jeongguk, and why was Jin so opposed to your relationship.
Namjoon said his goodbyes to Jin, muttering something about trying to reach out to "Suga Hyung" You decided that it was an appropriate time to exit the bathroom.
The door creaked as you pushed it open. Stupid door from this stupid new hotel, interrupting your boyfriend's breakdown. He sat at the edge of the bed, his head in his hands. He looked up at you, his eyes red and brow furrowed.
"You look..." He stood, walking over to you. He wrapped his arms around your waist. "You're gorgeous. I apologize if my yelling scared you. Family problems."
He said that like you didn't hear him yell Jin's name so may times.
I guess they really are a family. You thought. You scratched the base of his hair with your nails.
"Happy album drop," you whispered into his chest. His chest shook as he chuckled. "I'm proud of you."
"Me? why?"
"For sticking with me when you know that people will oppose our relationship if they find out."
"My fans seem to oppose almost anything I do nowadays." He walked over to the minibar. He poured himself a drink leaning on the counter.
"That's not who I'm talking about and you know it." You sat on the bed, putting your legs under the blanket. You held out your arms, beckoning him closer.
"Sometimes I'm glad you can't understand Korean." He placed his glass on the nightstand. "I have to blow off some steam, I think I'm going to go to the gym downstairs okay?"
He kissed your forehead and left you in the hotel room. Alone.
You woke up the next morning to Joon snuggling into your back. He reeked of booze and it seemed like the hotel's gym did not receive a visit from Mr. Kim.
