Brooke's head was a mess. She was worried about her mum and how she was going to become part of her life again. Brooke didn't know how she felt about it.

When she woke that morning, she laid in bed. Wanting to enjoy the peace. The door opened and Charley came in. She sighed. "Look. I trust you. More than I do anyone. Which is why I'm telling you what's going on with me and Ma- Mr Tyler. He's blackmailing me. If I don't have sex with him, he said he will make it so your dad is fired," she said.

Brooke frowned. "He's blackmailing you?"

"Yeah babes. I would never willingly cheat on your dad. I love him. And I love our little family. You do believe me. Don't you?"

"Y-Yeah. Why is he such a jerk?"

Charley smiled. "Damned if I know babes. But I promise, I'm going to end it with him. And I'll tell your dad."

"Tell him how Max is blackmailing you."

***
Brooke arrived at school. She saw Max arrive in his car and felt anger. She wanted him to pay. Tom walked over to her. "Hey. What's up?" He asked.

Brooke shook her head. "No. Have you ever wanted to kill someone? But you don't think they're worth jail time?"

Tom laughed. "You can't kill anyone I'm afraid. What's up?"

"Nothing. I'm just complaining. How are you?"

Tom smiled. "I'm good. Be even better if I could see you," he teased.

"Lovely Mr Clarkson."

***
Brooke walked outside the office. She heard Max inside. And she heard Charley. They were arguing. "We're done! I'm telling Simon everything. And you can't stop me!"

Brooke watched as Charley walked out. She had a red mark on her face. Brooke looked to Max. "You're going to regret that."

***
Simon found Brooke sitting in the common room. He sat down with her. "I was thinking. We could go and see your mum? I'll take you."

Brooke shrugged. "Maybe. I feel so overwhelmed at the moment. And my head feels muddled up."

Simon took hold of her hand. He smiled. "I know. But you know that I'm here for you. You're my little girl. And I know I have Rosie to think of. But I love you."

"I love you too dad. You're the best dad that a girl could have," Brooke said. She sighed. "I'll let you know about mum. I just need time to think."

Simon nodded and smiled. "Okay. Well me and Charley are going out tonight. So could you watch Rosie for us? And then tomorrow I'll take you out for the day. We can hit the shops."

"Sure."

Brooke stood outside. She had a tin of paint she had stolen from the Art room. Brooke smirked as she looked at Max's car. "Perfect Mr Tyler. Not so perfect," she spat.

Brooke opened the tin and threw it over the car. Tom ran out. "Brooke! What the hell?" He said.

"He's ruining my life! He really is."

Tom took the tin off her and took her inside. He looked at her. "What's Mr Tyler done?" He asked as he handed her a cloth.

Brooke shook her head. "I don't want to talk about it. I really don't. I just hate Max Tyler."

Tom sighed and nodded. He stood watching Brooke as she sorted herself out. But could he get to the bottom of what was going on with her? Or would she keep it all bottled up until she broke?
