Tom Felton: Live and Dangerous Tour

Part 6

Once they arrive at the Pineapple dance studios, they're both greeted by the production team and the other dancers that have been picked.

"Welcome to Pineapple Dance Studios. This is where we will be rehearsing for the Tour until we move into Wembley Arena in three months' time. It will be a lot of hard work and the rehearsals will be long. But at the end of it all, we shall have produced a great show." The Production Manager told them.

"Well shall we get on with everything? Tom and Kayla, you need to go into studio 2 as the others will be in studio 1 learning the opening song which is to Rhapsody in Black. Kayla we will be slotting you in a little later after dinner. So, let's get to it."

Everyone moved into the studios and the first day's rehearsal started.

Tom and Kayla started to rehearse a duet together where they were both dancing and singing. The Elephant Love Medley.

All morning was spent making sure that the dance work was perfect. Tom struggled a little, but manage to get it in the end with Kayla's help.

Tom was loving working with Kayla as she was passionate about everything that was going on around her.

It was now after lunch, Kayla needed to go into the main studio to be fitted into the opening number. Kayla had to watch the dance first, so she had an idea of what was going on.

She watched the boys do tumbles and tricks. Kayla was little worried as she's not very good at tricks, but she would practice hard for what they wanted her to do.

The girls came on, so she tried to mimic what they were doing a couple of beats behind. It was then she was told that she would have to do a tumble towards the end.

Kayla was nervous as she watched what she had to do. Her eyes went wide open as she was shown what she was to do.

Tom looked over to see that Kayla was nervous about something. He kept watching the dance. Tom was enjoying what he was watching, but it seemed that Kayla would be pushed into something that maybe a little too out of her comfort zone.

Big Spender started up. Kayla moved to the back so that she could try the dance. It was a sultry dance and by the looks of things the dancers were wearing trilby hats and jackets.

Kayla was enjoying this dance and she had picked it up easily as well.

"Right let's run through what we have rehearsed today. Including the duet with Kayla and Tom." The Production Manager wanted to look at what they had completed today.

So they started from the top. Kayla was worried about the tumble that she had to do in Rhapsody in Black. She was going to give it a go so whilst she was waiting at the side to go on, she limbered her back and legs so that she could try it.

The music started and they all performed.

Tom looked to see that Kayla was at the back ready to do her tumble after one of the male dancers had completed his tumble.

Kayla took a deep breath in and then did a run up and attempted the tumble. She landed funny and slid into the wall and banged her head.

Tom got up and headed over to Kayla to check that she was ok.

"Keep on going." The Production Manager told them as the other dancers looked on to see Kayla in a crumpled heap near the wall holding her head.

"No! Stop the music! Kayla are you ok?" Tom asked of her.

"Yeah, I'm just not used to doing tumbles like that. It looks like I am going to have to take extra practice to get this one right." Kayla laughed.

"I could tell that you were worried. I can tell them to ask one of the other dancers to do the tumble if you like?" Tom smiled.

"No, I am going to have that tumble perfected by the time we go to the arena to rehearse live on stage. I'm not a quitter and never have been. When I am told to do something, then I will practice hard at it." Kayla told Tom and she got up off the floor and headed back into the group and stood in her starting position for Big Spender.

Tom then headed over to the back of the room and then jumped into the middle of Kayla and one of the other female dancers.

"That's all-good work guys. Kayla, you need to practice harder. See you all tomorrow at 9am sharp." The manager left the room.

Tom stayed behind and waited for Kayla.

"All in all, a good day's rehearsal. Three songs in the bag, lots more to come." Tom told Kayla.

Kayla smiled and picked up her bag and her suitcase that she had with her.

"Well I would just like to go home and shower and relax. But Tom, where am I staying whilst in London rehearsing?" Kayla asked.

"I'm currently waiting for the keys for an apartment for you close by. But it won't be ready until next week. So I am inviting you to stay with me until then. I have a spare room that you can use which has a bathroom attached." Tom mentioned to her.

"Oh thank you." Kayla opened the studio door and walked out with Tom following her.

"So, how are we getting home?" Kayla asked.

"I have my car parked around the corner. So come on." Tom took Kayla's suitcase and they headed to his car.
