With Her

Meeting Her

As I walked up to the school something felt weird. Knowing this would be my last school for awhile made me want to try to actually make friends for once in my life. The problem with this? I didn't know how to make friends.

You'd think that's quite odd considering I'm 17 years old but I had never stayed in one place for more than 3 months since my mom left. My social skills just got worse and worse the older I got.

I don't know, maybe things can actually be good here. I guess I will never know if I don't actually walk into the school.

"I can do this, no need to be nervous," I convinced myself.

"You know, talking to yourself won't get you anything but people looking at you funny right?"

I'm pretty sure I jumped like 5 feet in the air and that's quite a bit considering I'm barely 5'1.

"Holy shit you scared me! You can't just sneak up on someone like that!" I exclaimed.

"And you can't just talk to yourself like that," she said laughing.

"Who are you anyways?" I asked.

This girl was pretty. No scratch that, she was the definition of beautiful.  She had long black hair and these dark eyes that I couldn't help but immediately find myself staring at. She was taller than me as well, probably about 5'5-5'6.

"Now I could ask the same to you. I haven't seen you around before. Are you new?" she asked.

"Umm ya," I said nervously.

Usually I'm more confident than this, but she is really makin me nervous.

"You gonna tell me your name, or are you just gonna keep avoidin' eye contact?" she said jokingly.

"My name is Ryin," I mumbled nervously.

I was getting kind of annoyed by her attitude. She smiled at me with a little  smile that I found very cute, "Well Ryin, I'm Sam and I will be the one welcoming you to hell."
I laughed as she grabbed my arm and pulled me inside.
