Chapter 28: A Butterfly!

As i finished dinner i went up to my room to sleep for the awaiting school day.

My eyes slowly open and I notice a dark spot on my ceiling. It's dark in my room and I still feel super tired, which must mean that it's the middle of the night.

As I squint my eyes to get a better look at the ceiling. I notice it's not a spot but more like a... butterfly! A DARK BROWN AND HUGE BUTTERFLY!! If you didn't realize then just so you know,

I'm terrified of butterflies. I never understood how people thought they were beautiful. I admit that they looked nice sometimes if you saw them at a beautiful place but if i find one in my room then it's not beautiful, it's terrifying.

I quickly jumped out of bed to run out the room. Luckily I took my phone with me as I saw the clock was 04:02 AM in the morning. 'Why did it have to happen so early?' I whine.

As I stand outside of my room like an idiot, I try to come up with a plan to get the butterfly out of the room because there is no way I'm sleeping with that monster watching me.

Alternative 1. Open the window and wait for the butterfly to get out. 'But that would mean I have to get in the room again which i'm not doing' i thought.

Alternative 2. Wake one of my brothers and have them deal with it. 'But then they would make fun of me forever and maybe even use my fear against me' I thought.

Alternative 3. Sleep somewhere else. 'Ok let's go with alternative 3' I decide as I make my way towards the living room.

As I reach the living room I throw myself at the soft sofa as my eyes can finally drift away in butterfly free sleep.

Feeling someone shaking my shoulders I open my eyes and see very concerned looking brothers staring at me.

"Um good morning" I say confused.

"What are you doing sleeping in the living room?" I hear Noah ask as the others seem to wonder the same thing. 'What should I tell them? there's no way i can say that i slept here because of a simple butterfly' i wonder.

"I don't know, maybe I sleepwalked?" I asked, trying to sound confused.

"Aria" Zach warned.

"Ok fine but promise you won't laugh" I give in as they raise a brow at me.

"I'm not promising anything" I heard Hunter and Julian say as they looked like they were already ready to laugh.

"There was a huge butterfly in my room so i got scared and ran, happy?" I sigh looking away.

"HAHAHA YOU WHAT" I hear Hunter laugh out loud as Julian is holding his hand over his mouth trying to stop his laughter.

"Stop laughing, it's not funny" I yell angrily realizing I sound more like a toddler now which makes the twins laugh even harder.

"Well isn't that cute" Zach says looking amused.

"Guys leave her alone, you're embarrassing her" Noah says as he notices my face getting red.

"What's going on here?" Xavier says, coming into the room.

"Aria spent the night in the living room afraid of a butterfly that was hiding in her room" Enzo explained, making Xavier chuckle which made everyone turn around surprised.

I see Xavier then approach me as he kneels in front of me to get down to my level.

"Why don't you wake me up next time and I'll help you" He said, patting my head with a smile. I stare in disbelief, never seeing him so affectionate and gentle before.

"Let's go eat some breakfast now so you won't be late for school" He says as he reaches out his hand that i take with a smile. While eating breakfast, Hunter kept teasing me about butterflies which I tried to ignore, 'tried'.

"Ugh, you're so annoying!" I yell at him getting up from seat and charging out of the room toward the car. "You're such a jerk," Noah says as he gets up to follow me.

"What? i was only joking you guys need to chill" Hunter defends.

"We should probably get going now, i have a freaking test in the morning that i can't miss" Julian says getting up and dragging Hunter with him to the car.

As I approach Julians car that we will be riding in, I decide that I want to sit in front where Hunter usually sits. 'That's what he gets for teasing me' I think with a smirk.
