I felt the sun's heat on my body. I had forgotten to draw the curtains last night. Now awake, I aimlessly fumbled around looking for my phone in order to gain a sense of time.

What on earth!! It's 12:30!!! Why didn't anyone wake me up!!

I quickly freshened up. Changed into a comfortable crop top with my new denim shorts, grabbed my bag, and headed out of my room. I tried calling Varun and Divisha's phones but they wouldn't pick up. Then I tried calling Kaushal and Saahil's and met with the same result.

This now worried me. Could there be some sort of problem? I tried Divisha's phone again and then I finally hear a groggy voice answer.

Wowww! She just woke up...

Most probably the others are still asleep.

I totally forgot that I was the most mature out of the entire group.

"Just wake up now! Both of you! It's 12:45 you dumbasses!" almost shouting over the phone. And then what do I get for a reply... I get an "okay" ....an okay?! Like, WHAT?!

It seems I have to go wake them up on my own. I just hope they're decent.

I decided to go to Kaushal and Saahil's room first. Apparently banging and constantly ringing the doorbell wakes people up.

Two down. Two more to go.

Used the same trick and voila!

We were all outside our doors by 2:00 ready to head for lunch. Our oversleeping till noon led to all of our stomachs growling like a pride of lions.

I had discovered this place nearby at a walkable distance and reviews were pretty good too. They were famous for their seafood, especially crab.

I restaurant wasn't fancy at all. It was quite the opposite. It had a tin roof and a few old plastic chairs and tables. But we knew that the best local food was not found in fancy restaurants.

We ordered five plates of crab masala, dal, and rice. When the food arrived we ravished it like animals. Crab required the use of both are hands and this did not bother us. The combined effect of the absence of a fan in the restaurant and the spicy crab caused all of our faces to be dripping with sweat. We had known each other for years so grace and manners did not bother us. So knuckles deep in gravy and shirts soaked in sweat never mattered to anyone.

We sat there in that restaurant longer than necessary, talking, bickering, laughing. I had never felt this relaxed in a very long time now. It took me back to my high school days were the most stressful thing was a friendship breaking apart.

We returned back to our hotel and headed straight towards the pool table that the boys and I had eyed the minute we checked in the hotel.

Divisha did not know how to play so the four of us split into teams- two each. We played most probably for two hours changing the teammates every game. My father taught me to play pool in the twelfth grade and ever since and become better and better.

During the last game, a bet was made. The losing pair had to pay for all of our drinks that evening. And half an later, Saahil and I (and Divisha) won ourselves free drinks.

We headed back to our rooms first to freshen up and change into something fancier. I put on a short body-con black shimmery dress. It was the very definition of sexy. I put on a very dark shade of maroon lipstick. I was not a person who put on too much makeup. Putting on my black four Inch wedges, I felt confidence oozing out of me.

I loved dressing up. I believed that it felt as good to dress up for yourself as to dress up to impress others. A good comment is always a boost in the confidence department. It feels good to be appreciated once in a while.

I walked out of my room just to come face to face with Divisha. She looked drop-dead gorgeous. She was in this very classy spaghetti-sleeved red satin top with a black leather skirt. Her eyeliner was perfect, a skill that she learned from my dear best friend Sudhiksha. I bet that Varun would not be able to take his eyes off his girl even for a second.

We eyed each other up and down and gave each other knowing smirks. Today we were killing it.

We join the boys in the lobby and head towards the bar. We order our drinks and Varun and I wait there to wait for our drinks while the others find a place to sit.

Once they are out of sight, "How's the planning going?" I ask him.
"The beach is part of the resort so.... location is no problem. We just have to set it up. I'm planning to do it after a good dinner on the beach. Ah... And one thing, you have to keep her busy while Kaushal, Saahil, and I set the place up. But I also kinda need your decoration skills." he replies hurriedly.

"Hey, calm down. Okay, I'll do that. And for setting up the dinner, do you have an idea?" I reply slowly while my mind has already thinking of ideas.

"I have an idea but I'm not the best at making stuff look beautiful. You just need to guide us through it and that will be more than enough."

"Oh ok. I can easily do that no problem."
Our conversation stops when the bartender arrives with our drinks.

I gave the bartender a grateful nod and we take our drinks to our table.

It was going to be a crazy night because I had this gut feeling of one of us getting piss drunk.
