Hyejin knew that as soon as she stepped into the school grounds, Jaemin was at least in the same area as her. Throughout the night, she was busy thinking of ways to avoid him, ignore him, to pass by him. But no matter how long and hard she thought it was, she knew it was practically impossible as they are literally in the same class. She knew it was impossible but she still denied and looked for imperfections within the impossible; because you should always make the impossible possible right?

Anyone could see that Hyejin was wavering as she walked down the hallway. Her eyes downcasted to the ground, refusing to meet eyes with anyone. Through luck, she manages to arrive at her locker with no sign of the said boy.

But oh was she wrong.

Na Jaemin impatiently waits for time to pass by quickly as he sits down for the weekly student council meeting. The senior river cruise night was coming up and the other members were excitedly discussing their ideas for the decorations, dress code and most importantly their partners to go with. None of this information was absorbed into Jaemin's brain. It was practically impossible with his mind still too preoccupied with yesterday's event. As soon as the teacher dismissed the meeting, Jaemin did not waste a single breath and searched for the girl beneath the busy crowd. Only when he notices her little white bear keychain on a particular bag did he loosen up a tiny bit.

Hyejin felt a pair of eyes on her and she looked around for the source. Her breath hitches when she sees him approaching with a serious look on his face. The veins on his neck and arms were accentuated due to his eagerness to speak with her. His steps and body language was the epitome of impatience; and he is in fact, really impatient at the moment. Hyejin didn't run away. You could say that she gave up before it even started. She shakes her head when he finally arrives beside her.

"Please...no questions." Hyejin pleaded to the boy.

No one had any idea of the feeling that grew inside Jaemin as soon as she said those words. At this very moment, you can see the passion that is held with his eyes as he stares intently at the invaluable girl in front of him. Seeing her battle scars yesterday, ignited a flame in him and her pleading just added fuel to his fire.

"I'm sorry for running off yesterday." Jaemin wanted to shut her up. How many times do I need to tell her to stop apologising? "But you have to understand that I don't want to talk about it."

Hyejin's voice sounded so calming that Jaemin was able to release the breath that he had been holding since the moment he woke up. The school bell commenced every student's worst nightmares.

"And I understand if you don't want me to be near you anymore."

Ever since the start of the day, nothing was absorbed into Jaemin's brain. However, these words burnt him and Hyejin took off before he could even refute those words.

And there he is. Na Jaemin standing in an almost empty hallway, in full bitterness at the words that came out from the girl that he likes.
