tw! Abuse, blood, self harm
"Could you just get out of my sight?!" Hyejin's palms skid across the stone floor, her skin peeling off and the blood oozes out easily, "I told you to clean the bathroom an hour ago. Stay out here until you reflect on your actions."
Hyejin shivers at the cold weather and instinctively pulls her jacket closer to her body, if that was even possible. Still all flimsy and a tiny bit disorientated, Hyejin walks away from her house to who knows where?
It has been such a good week. Their senior camp filled her memory bank with laughter and new experiences. She thought that this week could be a great week following all that, but honestly, she was too naive to even think about it in the first place.
Hyejin sits on the all too familiar park bench. The winter made the park lonely and cold as no kids or presence wanted to stay out in the gloomy weather. Hyejin lifted her knees up to her chest, hugging her own body close to keep the minimal body warmth that she has. Her eyes diverted to her bleeding palms and she reaches out to the half peeled skin, proceeding to fully detach it off her body. It wasn't too deep, but it ran long, and Hyejin winches at the pain on her palm. She feels the sweat accumulating on her forehead despite the cold front.
All of a sudden, a hand stops her action and a tissue presses on her wound. Hyejin looks up, her eyes widening at the unexpected visitor, "Come on, Hyejin. Get up." the woman beckons, "Let's get you treated."
Hyejin didn't retort Haeun nor did she reply anything to her, just followed her to the car and sat down in the comfort of the heater. Haeun didn't ask the girl anything, understanding how she may not want to talk about what happened in her own private life.
The two girls enjoyed the silence that loomed over the vehicle, the rain pouring down on the windows. Haeun skilfully parks the car in their driveway and the stopping of the car makes Hyejin curse internally, "Crap. Jaemin will be here."
"Hyejin?" Haeun calls out.
"Y-Yeah?"
"Let's get inside first okay?" The hesitation is written evidently all over Hyejin's face, "It's okay. Jaemin isn't home at the moment."
Hyejin felt relieved at the news and acknowledged the woman's statement by nodding her head.
Hyejin excuses herself for the intrusion and sits calmly at the kitchen stool near the island. Snowy greets the familiar girl, barking excitedly at Hyejin's appearance, "Hey Snowy." Snowy excitedly wags his tail and the girl's loving pats.
The jingling of the small and thin pieces of metal from the front door made Hyejin alarmed. Her anxiety heightens when a certain boy calls out for his mother, "Mum, I'm home." Jaemin turns around to the kitchen when he sees the dirty looking Hyejin and rushes over immediately to take a closer look, "Hyejin? What's wrong? Why--"
