Jealous

You wake up to three knocks at the door. The pillow wet from your tears. You carefully wipe your cheek, hoping it wasn't obvious that you cried.

You drag yourself to the door hoping it's just the mail man

"Hey y/n is everything ok?"

It's Jack, he's carrying flowers, your favorite kind

"I just came here to check up on you. I saw you walk out of the coffee shop. But.. I don't know, maybe I said something wrong?"

" No no no not at all, it's my vault. Something happened last night with me and another guy and well, it was a little overwhelming."

" Well I'm glad to see your ok, may I come in?"

"Oh sure! Come in and make yourself comfortable."

He walks past you and sits the flowers on the table.

" What exactly happened with you and this guy? You don't have to tell me if you don't feel like it."

"No it's fine, I can tell you." You sit next to Jack

" So basically there was this guy, we were best friends.

Jack looks at you

" And uh, he was everything you could ask for in a man. Very charming, protective, the whole package."

He puts an arm around you, a sense of comfort

" And well, long story short he told me he was using me." You awkwardly chuckle trying not to cry

You see him bite his inner cheek and clench his fist.

"What's this guys name?"

" Oh Um.."

You sit for a second contemplating wether or not to say his name

" I can't really tell you."

" Why, is he famous?" He chuckles

You look down and fidget with your hands

" Wait are you serious?"

You awkwardly chuckle, " You haven't seen the news?"

He blankly stares at you, " That was you?!"

" I uh.."

" That mother fucker, I knew he was bad news."

" Jack it's fine, I'm over it now."

" Are you sure? I can knock that old bag of shit to the ground if you want."

You laugh "No no no really, it's fine. We already talked."

You two sit in silence for a few minutes.

" You want to watch a movie?" You utter

" Oh sure."

You both get up and sit on the couch, your legs nearly touching each other

You silently scroll through Netflix, waiting for him to say something.

" Ooo that's my favorite movie." He announces

You look back to the tv and your favorite tv show is selected.

" Are you kidding me? That's my favorite also!"

"No way."

You click on the movie and lean into Jack. He seems surprised by your movements, but he relaxes and puts an arm around you

Throughout the movie, you see Jack look at you through the tv reflection and smile.

At the end of the movie Jack checks his watch, " Oh shit, I gotta go to work."
