Chapter 3 - "Make them beg"

That's pretty much how the rest of the day went. Me catching Dave smirking at me and me not being able to help myself from smirking back. I was at my locker exchanging books for my next class when I saw him again.

Dave was already popular with the girls and I chuckled to myself as I watched from across the corridor how desperate the girls were to get even a whiff of the bad boy. 

"Enjoying the view?" 

I laughed nearly snorting as I turned around to find my best friend smirking at me. Really there was just way too much smirking going on today.

"Omg Jace you have no idea how funny today was."

I was already at the point of bursting and weird noises were starting to escape my mouth. I brought my hand up to stop and compose myself. Once I was satisfied I wasn't going to be making weird noises I looked up at my best friend and wiped a tear that had dropped from my eyes.

He was looking at me like I had just grown two wings and was flapping them around ready for flight. But I looked around and checked phew I hadn't grown two wing no need to worry.

I stared into his startling green eyes. They were a bluey green and not as beautiful as Dave's but breathtaking nonetheless.

Jace was the one who had helped bring me out of my shell and the only one I could genuinely trust. I could trust him to tell me the truth no matter what and I could trust him just because he was the bestest friend anyone could ever have. 

He didn't fake a smile at me, he wasn't like the rest, only being my friend and being nice so they could take advantage of whatever baggage I came with and let me tell you there's a lot.

Not only was I smoking hot, my parents were rich and of course they would expect me to do something with all the money.

Okay so I admit, kind a hot yea, the amount of drooling guys I've seen whenever I've walked past them is the least I can say to prove that one. 

But back then I was too coped in my own shell to do anything about it. It was a past I wanted to forget because I was tired of being too weak to stand up for myself. 

"Ummm...you okay? Coz you look like you need to punch something." Jace smirked as if he had discovered something as fascinating as water. Well no he didn't. 

"I think I need to punch you right now." I gave him the most innocent smile I could before giving him a light hit on his muscled arm. He chuckled his voice coming out deeper than usual.

For a kid who lived with a single mum who was struggling to pay off bills as well as rent, he was surprisingly hot and very considerate. I mean don't get me wrong he can be as naughty as a guy can get all the sexy mojo yea? But he was such a gentleman, it was no wonder he always had a crowd of girls following after him. 

I felt Jace tense as he looked over my shoulder. His jaw slightly contracting, he was trying to hide it but not too well considering I was able to notice. I spun on my heels curious to see what he was so tense about when I looked up and came face to face with the most beautiful green eyes I had ever seen.

I felt my breathe hitch as I realised how close we really were. He was leaning in slightly causing my heart to start beating faster than it normally would after a conversation with Jace.

"D... D...Dave...what are you doing here?" I stammered trying to keep the cool in my voice but failing miserably. Why was he able to have this effect on me! I've never felt like this before well not after Calvin and it made me raging mad just thinking about the asshole.

I clenched my jaw and put up my bad girl barrier before saying another word. 

I wasn't going to let a guy take advantage of my stupid teenage hormones once again. That was my motto, 

Make them beg for it then crush their tiny hearts.

YAY! Another chapter up!

Jace overall has a very protective character and because he knows that Tess has already been heartbroken by a ass, he doesnt want her to go through anything like that again especially coz he was there with her through most of it.

Sorry I'm starting off with pretty short chapters, they will get longer I promise!!
