"Ok gold or silver?" Bee holds up two necklaces to her neck. I shrug and point to the silver one. I don't know how Bee manages to always look so good? She had a tight red party dress on that hiked up right above her knees and matching red heels. She looked amazing as always!
"Ok gold it is!" She hooks the necklace around her neck and I roll my eyes.
"Then why'd you ask?" I throw my hands up in the air... she shrugged her shoulders and laughed.
Bee then looked me up and down. "Um? Is that what your wearing?" I get up and off the bed and look at my outfit in the mirror.
It's not that bad. I was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. That's casual for a party right? I wouldn't know? I started to regret coming to Bee's house early for this party...
"Why? What's wrong with it?" I asked running my hands down my thighs straightening out the wrinkles on my jeans.
"Oh, honey..." Bee places her hand on my shoulder.
"You are not wearing that." She pointed up and down at me in the mirror. I pouted my lip,
"Why not I like it?!" Bee turns me around to face her.
"Sweetie, this is your first party!" I nod my head
"Yeah I know"
"The whole school's gonna be here, you gotta look amazing!" I throw my head back moving to sit back on the bed.
"Shut up it's a party no one gonna even bat an eye my way"Bee walks out of her room and into her big-ass closet.
"Trust me someone will bat their eyes at you" After a minute or so she comes out holding a hanger and hands it to me.
"Go, try it on." She shoos me to the bathroom. I groan walking into the bathroom and holding up the dress at my eye level getting a better look at it. I shake my head looking at it.
This is one hundred percent, not my style. It's a black dress with little straps and a slit on one side of the dress a little too high for anyone's liking.
Nevertheless, I put it on and walk out of the bathroom. Bee turns around and has a huge smile on her face.
"Lia you look hot! YOU LOOK LIKE A GIRL!" She shouted, I press my lips in a line rolling my eyes.
"Gee thanks, but don't you DARE think I'm wearing heels" I stated
"Whatever, I know I can't pry your precious Convers away... at least they match the dress," She says, Bee then motions for me to sit in the chair she stood behind.
I reluctantly take a seat. Bee pulls out some brushes and some makeup and starts doing my makeup. I swat away the brush she tries to bring to my face.
"No makeup," I say trying to get up. Bee pushes me back down in the chair a little violently.
"Nope we're doing it, I'll do light make up ok" I lay back in the chair closing my eyes as she swipes a fluff brush across my eyelids.
She finally finished and I opened my eyes and looked in the mirror. I looked like a completely new person, I didn't look like myself at all. Even though it was barely any makeup on my face I looked... Pretty. I felt pretty for once. I look towards Bee and smile at her.
"Thank you" I whispered, Bee, hugged me and then stepped back unclipping the hair clip I had in my hair making my curls fall on my shoulder. I ruffle my hair a little when we heard the doorbell ring!
