I stood where I was watching Tom walk away. I bit the inside of my cheek with my hand held on my cheek.
He kissed me?
Well, he almost kissed me, Does that count as a kiss? I immediately grab my phone out of my pocket and rush inside my house.
"Hey babe how was school?" Mum turns around picking up a bowl mixing something for dinner.
"Um yea it was... good" I turn to mum for a brief moment lowering my phone.
"You're blushing? Something happened?" She mocked me
"Huh? What no" I shake my head, I couldn't tell my mom about Tom. She'd only make fun of me or tell all her friends and then make fun of me. If I told her she'd want to meet him. I wouldn't able to live through that I'd simply die.
She simply hummed and laughed going back to whatever food she was cooking up.
"I um have homework so don't bother me" I ran up the stairs to my room before I could give her chance to respond. I grab my phone out and straight away to call Bee.
"Please pick up" I paced my room as the phone continued to ring.... The phone called ended, she didn't pick up. So I called again.
"Beatrice pick up oh my god"
"Hey Lia what's up?" I smile once I heard her voice.
"BEATRICE OH MY GOD THANK GOD YOU PICKED UP!" I screamed into the phone.
"What happened? Are you ok?" She asked worried
"Lia Hunny are you ok?" I heard mum's footsteps on the stairs. I pull my phone away covering it with my hand.
"Yeah no I'm ok sorry" I yell back. After a minute I assumed she went back downstairs.
"Sorry my mum... anyways it's Tom..."
"Aw tell your mum I said hi! And what about him?" How do I explain to this to her without seeming like it's a big deal...
"I went out for pizza with Tom again-" I got interrupted by Bee's voice.
"Like a DATE?" She whisper shouted.
"That's the thing... I don't know? He was super sweet and stuff and he kissed my cheek Bee. He kissed my cheek. What does that mean?" I asked biting my nail pacing my room.
"It means he likes you Lia!"
"I wouldn't go that far. I mean-" I stopped talking because I didn't know where I was going with my sentence.
"I mean it was just a friend thing right? Like if he liked me he would have kissed me on the lips? Like in the movies and stuff right?" I groan
"Lia a boy doesn't just ask you out and then kiss you on the cheek if he didn't like you! He totally likes you I promise!" I sighed laying back on my bed. My head hitting the pillow as I stare at my ceiling.
"SO IT WAS A DATE? OH MY GOD IT WAS A DATE AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW..." I start mid way panicking into the phone.
"Hey chill out I'm sure the date went fine Lia" She reassured me. I breath out threw my mouth and in my from nose. So it was a date... No big deal. It's not like I was super annoying and looked liked absolute shit. I groan hitting my hand lightly against my head.
"Well? Do you like him?" She giggles a little. I roll my eyes thinking.
"Maybe I don't know ok" I said a little mad
"Ok change of topic. Did you go to your new school yet?" I hear her sigh
"No not yet I'm going to go check it out with my mom tomorrow"
