"Hey, Lia!" I turn around walking to Kylie who called me.

"Yeah what's up?" I ask tapping my pencil on my clipboard. She came up to me holding two different cloth-like materials in her hands.

"We need you to pick one?" I looked at Kylie and then at her hands holding the two table cloths. I arch an eyebrow at her.

"Um... they look the same?" She didn't say anything still holding up the table clothes. I huffed out a breath and pointed to the left one.

"Ok cool thanks" she smiled and walked away. I checked off a box on my clipboard. One less thing to worry about. I look around the hall. It was still completely empty. I guess eventually it'll come together. Still definitely needed lots of work, but it'll get there in time.

I reread the paper on my clipboard going over the stuff I needed to do today when I felt hands wrap around me. I jump forward a little feeling startled. I turn around to see Tom with a grin on his face. I roll my eyes at him and continue to read my schedule for the day.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you don't be mad at me sugar" he wrapped his arms around my shoulders pulling my back into his chest for a hug.

"Don't call me that."

"Still don't like nicknames?" He teased

"Only some"

"Hmm... Well, I got that box you wanted me to get. I put it over by the stairs" I nodded

"Ok thanks" I didn't look up at him once while he talked as I was writing different notes and ideas down on my paper.

"How's everything going?" He asked as he flipped me around to face him. He hooked his finger under my chin forcing me to look away from the paper and up at him. I only rolled my eyes,

"Someone brought me a full box of balloons to decorate with... This is a damn ball why the hell do we need balloons? We've barely scratched the surface of this hall for decorating and we've only got a short amount of time to do so, the chairs and tables we ordered haven't come in, I had to pick between two table cloths that were exactly the same, I've got a science test tomorrow that I haven't even studied for and an English paper due at the end of the week so I'd say it's going great."

Tom looked at me baffled and pulled me in for a much-needed hug. I let out a breath I was holding burying my face in his chest wrapping my arms around him for a moment. Tom's hands rubbed up and down my back.

"We'll figure everything out don't worry sunshine" his voice soothed me. I pulled away and smiled at him.

"I'll even help you study"

"Thank you"

"LIA!"

I heard my name be called by someone and I groan rubbing my temple.

"Duty calls..." I drop my clipboard to my sides trying to walk away only to be pulled back by my arm. I look at Tom and arch a brow at him confused. He leaned down and kissed my lips. I was taken aback by his actions. He's kissing me in a public place. This is weird... is he not scared people are gonna see us? I kissed back and quickly pulled away.

"What was that for?"

"What? I can't kiss my girlfriend?" My eyes widen hearing the term 'girlfriend' fall from his lips.

"I'm your girlfriend?" I asked genuinely confused. I'm his girlfriend? When did this happen?

"I mean yeah if you don't want to be-" I cut him off immediately.

"No no I do, it's just... I've never been a girlfriend before," I said quietly embarrassed. I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Well, now you are! And you're already amazing at it okay" he kissed my hot cheeks making them even redder. How did I go from finding this boy the most annoying person in the world to a boy who gives me butterflies and makes me blush?
