Link's POV
I opened my eyes just when the last rays of the sun shot through the sky. It was still rainy though. I opened and closed my eyes, trying to adjust to the brightness. Then I saw y/n sleeping soundly next to me on a chair. It was... kinda cute.
'Ugh, what the hell are you thinking, Link!' I scolded myself.
Then I accidentally fell off the bed. "OUCH!" I yelled in pain and rubbed my butt. My loudness awoke y/n. Her eyes shot open and she yelled, "EEK!" Then she fell onto my back.
We stayed in that position for a couple of moments until y/n jumped off of me, her face completely flustered. "OMGIMSOSORRYABOUTTHATITWASANHONESTACCIDENTIPROMI-"
I shushed her by putting my finger on her lips. She immediately stopped talking and sighed.
"Ugh, s-sorry."
I nodded and smiled. We both got up and awkwardly stood there. I rubbed the back of my head while she bit her lip.
... and then Ludah came to break the silence. "Oh, Link, there you are! I assumed you were still sleeping, so I came to check on you!"
I smiled at her. "Ready for our walk?" I asked her. "Yes!" She said. We were about to go off when y/n stopped us. "W-wait."
"Ugh, can you stop!? We're trying to have a normal walk here!" Ludah said, annoyed.
Y/n glared at her. "Yeah, but it's raining outside. Here ya go." She then handed us the umbrella. "Oh, thanks!" I replied. Ludah looked at the umbrella suspiciously. "What is this?" She demanded. She clearly was asking y/n, so I kept my mouth shut.
Y/n spoke calmly. "You can take it on your walk, it will prevent rain from falling onto you."
Ludah stared at it some more until she grumbled, "ugh, fine. But don't expect me to be all friendly to you."
"I never did."
I stood there awkwardly while they bickered furiously. What am I supposed to say??? Alright, I'll just go with the flow...
"Uh, guys! Please, can you stop?"
Then Ludah got all cute and happy again. "Oh? Of course, let's go!"
Y/N's POV
'Ok, don't be jealous. Nope nope nope. Link is only a friend. Nothing more. It's not like he has feelings for me or anything. You don't either. No no no no nooooo... Ugh, why am I so jealous. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.'
Ok, y/n, no more moping. It was all Ludah's idea. Link was just saying that because he had to. I think.
"Y/n!" I suddenly heard someone call my name and turned around. It was Sidon! "Y/n! Would you like to continue our training?"
"Oh, I almost forgot about it! Of course, let's do it." I smiled. Then I thought of something. "By the way, when you said that the Lynel was attacking us, was that a lie? I mean, it wouldn't just disappear because I was training." Sidon then bit his lip and blushed, which told me that he, in fact, was lying.
"Why did you lie, then?"
"I- It's just that Zoras Domain needs more guards and warriors, and you seem like a strong young lady."
"Why didn't you just ask me?"
"I was just scared that you'd say no..."
Come to think of it... I would say no. I came here because of some crazy hidden button on my Nintendo Switch, not to actually have a job. I didn't realize that this training would lead to becoming a guard.
Oh my gosh, why do I feel like I want to tell Sidon who I really am? I feel like I want to spill every secret about me. Why? Is it... a chance from Hylia? Is this the perfect time?
"Sidon..."
"Y-yes?"
... no. I can't tell him.
"Let's go train."
