"Was Emir Zaygil not enough of a headache for us that now this woman has appeared to make matters worse? The end of this MMC project is urgent," someone yelled at the office."We've terrorized them in every possible way, but they haven't yielded. We told you to kill Emer," someone said to the senior officer.
"You speak without considering the consequences. Killing him would start a war. He's a senior foreign officer stationed at the embassy, with numerous hidden pillars of support behind him. We've weakened him in every way we can. He used to do charity work and occasionally worked to stop violence, but the situation has escalated beyond our control," the senior officer slammed his hand on the table.
"We've tried everything, seized everything, but Emer still manages to get coverage," someone else replied, causing the officer to sigh in frustration.
"I stopped you from killing Emer for a reason. Why is this woman still alive? She has no power or official standing," he asked.
"Sir, she's about to marry Emer. MMC is her project, and she's been instrumental," someone explained. The officer nodded angrily.
"He turned out to be more cunning than I thought. By marrying her, he's giving her his name, making the project more significant. If she becomes his wife, his name will be Zaygil, and that name carries weight. Otherwise, the project is at a point where her death alone won't halt it. If anyone is killed, it could destabilize many Muslim countries," the officer said, and everyone nodded in agreement.
"If she becomes his wife, we will have to answer to the Turks and Pakistan. The UK won't be involved since that opportunity has already been lost. Being a Muslim, if we manage to link her with Hamas or any other group, the UK will withdraw support," the officer said with a harsh laugh, as the others in the room watched him.
"Emer is clever. He took our threats seriously and is marrying her to give her his name. If she becomes his wife, his name will be Zaygil, which means..." the officer sighed. "Kill the woman before the marriage," he ordered.
"She's in Pakistan and under the protection of many people," someone said.
"That's even better. If we kill her in Pakistan, she can easily be labeled as a terrorist, which will tarnish Pakistan's image. Before she becomes involved with the UN and the OIC, let's stage it as an accident. It will serve as a strong warning to Emer and the OIC. No one will dare to interfere with the project afterward. We'll decide our next steps regarding Zaygil later." The meeting was then dismissed.
