They say how crazy love makes you. How it makes you feel, how you just feel amazing. Yes I did feel that. But I didn't know how much I would feel it until you left me, Charlie. You left me.
He was gone. I sat alone in the big white room, waiting just hoping he was okay and wondering why he left me. Charlie had waken up from his coma. Well, in a way. His eyes had opened and he was back in the real world. And I was all alone.
Yes, I know it wasn't his fault but it certainly wasn't my fault. Since some people in comas can still hear things from the real world, I could hear everything. So one day I heard a familiar voice, along with the voice of a 15 year old girl whose presence I could feel. It was the voice of Leo and as he stood with this girl, I heard him speaking about me.
"And this is Sabrina. She's not here for a coma but for something else. I mean, not that I really care cause she's pretty stupid and weird, I guess. Quite the loner." Leo said.
Shattered. Like knives stabbing me repeatedly. Leo hated me. He wanted nothing to do with me. So much for real breathing friends.
Then I heard a commotion beyond my room.
"What? Awake?"
"Nurse Jackson! Come look! HURRYING!"
I thought someone was hurt or collapsed.
"Charlie? Charlie can you hear me?"
Charlie. He woke up from his coma. It took him a few days to start walking around and talking. He had to stay at the hospital for a couple weeks, just to make sure all was well. I mean yes I was happy for him! Why wouldn't I be?
Until one day, when he met Serena.
I mean when we were both in our coma, he told me he loved me and I said I loved him more. No force could break us apart from each other. I mean, it was so amazing to know someone actually loved me.
A few days after Charlie woke up, I opened my eyes so I could see everything. By this time, Charlie was already walking around and living his life. Nobody made a big fuss over my eyes opening, only the nurses and doctors knew, really.
So when I heard my door open and saw two people's shadows in the dead of night, I assumed it was the doctor coming in to check on me. And maybe they just had a nurse with them. But then I heard whispers.
"Come on, she won't hear or see us. She's in a coma. Plus, she's sleeping I mean look," Inheard Charlie Hutchinson say. I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to sleep.
"Are you sure?" I heard this high teenage girls voice. Where they together? What were they going to do?
I waited for the door to close before I opened my eyes again.
"Wait, take your phone out and put on the flashlight on low so we can see little bit better. Don't worry Serena," Charlie said.
The name sat within my brain as I soaked it up.
Serena put her phone on the table with the flashlight on.
Then I heard short breath. It was as if they were-
wait. no. I mean he loves me? Why has this turned into a question? And I knew at that moment they were.
They were kissing.
In my room? Are you fucking kidding? it's one thing to break my heart but to then MAKEOUT in my room?!? Well then, fuck you.
What could I do I mean I literally cannot move.
Wait, what is happening? I felt lightheaded and my eyes closed. "Help me," were the last words I could squeeze out.
Charlie's POV
I was kissing Serena and then I heard rapid beeping. I stopped and looked at Sabrina, not knowing what was happening.
"Sabrina? SABRINA WAKE UP!" I yelled until doctors ran in. They pushed me aside and Nurse Jackson held me Back.
"Her lung is collapsing. We need to get her into the O.R. or else she is going die! Move your ass,"
They ran her bed down the hall waking up the other patients. I just stood at the end of the hallway, hoping she was coming out alive.
