"If I were born a girl..." He muttered quietly, stopping Lucas from his tracks.

"If I were born a girl," he repeated, this time a bit louder as he raises his head to meet the guy's enchanting red

"Would you have loved me, Lucas?" He asked, choking in his words as his face showed pain and desperation.

His eyes were wet. He could feel his tears coming out of them. However, he couldn't break. Not here. Not now.

Not in front of him.

After a few moments of silence, he felt the magician scoff, his face still unreadable.

Why was he so unreadable? It troubled Ijekiel. He wanted nothing more but to understand him.

"Don't fool yourself, Alpheus." The magician spoke before turning his heels and walking away from the broken noble.

Alpheus.

Ijekiel smiled, finally letting the tears escape his eyes. Sobs escaped him as thought of his beloved.

He only ever called me that when we were distant...

As raindrops poured heavily from the sky, the young Alpheus boy thought of nothing more but how cruel his beloved was. How so cruel him...
