"Someday.... we will meet again. Fate will bring us back together. Promise me, you'll find me."

Ruby red eyes opened heavily, long black hair spread across the bed as the man sat up, rubbing his eyes and yawning in tiredness.

He stared at the floor, thinking about the dream- no, the hazy memory. He chuckled bitterly. He didn't even remember the face of the man he's been looking for for thousands of years. The only thing he remembered - as if it was engraved in his mind - were his last words and his snowy white hair.

His alarm clock rings, reminding him that he had to go to work. He didn't need to, of course. Living for thousands of years, he was bound to be unimaginably rich.

He could quit his current job and just live in his mansion alone forever in luxury, but he couldn't, not with the promise he made to his only loved one.

Sighing in frustration, he stood up lazily to get ready to shower.

The city was as noisy as ever, chattering everywhere, the clicking of shoes, the honking of cars, the shouting of children; it was tiring.

Lucas stopped at the traffic light as soon as the light turned green, lifting his head away from his phone to glance at it, but his eyes caught a person with white hair from the other side of the road instead. His eyes widened, mouth agaped as he tried to follow the person who was walking away.

Without a care for his safety, he ran to the other side despite the traffic light still being green. He ignored the honking and shouts he received from the drivers as he chased for the person with white hair, however, they were no longer to be found. It was as if he chased for something that was never there.

He panted, eyes glassy as he looked around. However, all he saw were people who looked at him strangely. "Fuck," he cursed, sweeping his bangs up in frustration. He gritted his teeth, chanting "fuck" repeatedly as he walked around, still trying to look for the person before finally calming himself down.

It couldn't be. He must've mistook whoever it was. Perhaps his eyes were playing tricks on him.

With those thoughts in mind, he began to compose himself before going to the place he frequently went to every morning. He tried to keep his mind off the person by drinking coffee and working on his laptop, but he still felt uneasy and anxious.

As his mind doze off, it began to wander to a certain forgotten memory. Something hidden deep inside his mind, something he hasn't thought of for a long, long time.

It was a rainy night, the room was cold and and quiet, with only the sound of raindrops filling the air. A breathing chest againts his head, a warm arm wrapped around his naked body under the sheets.

He groaned, yawning awake and snuggling closer to the man besides him. He heard a deep chuckle, and he raised his head to meet... An empty, blank face. He could only see the man's lips that curved into a soft, gentle smile. "Awake already?"

He blinked, glancing at the naked man, he was holding a book on his right hand, perhaps reading while Lucas was asleep in his embrace.

He opened his mouth to say his name, but nothing came out. Atleast, he didn't think so. Strangely though, the faceless man hummed in response to him.

"I..." He started, "I love you."

The man - who he remembered was his husband based on the matching wedding rings they had on their fingers - looked briefly surprised at the confession, before he chuckled heartily.

"That's... Sudden." He said as he laid down his book to the bedside table, before pulling Lucas closer to him with both of his arms. "But I don't hate it." He hummed as he took strands of his long black hair with his fingers, playing with them fondly.

"Are you not going say it back?"

His husband paused, before kissing Lucas on the neck. "I love you too, my beloved."

Lucas blinked, his sight no longer saw the dark, huge room he was in just a few second ago, and was instead replaced by the sight of his laptop in an empty google chrome page.

He sighed, leaning his back to the chair as he breathe in exhaustion, as if the memory drained all of his energy. He stared at the white ceiling of the cafe for a few minutes with a blank, empty mind before organising his stuff to get ready to go to his office.

The day went went on normally for the rest of the day, except for the flashes of memories that kept appearing on Lucas's mind randomly and the thought of the white haired person he saw earlier in the morning. He hoped they were the one he's been looking for, despite the chances being close to none.

This wasn't the first time he's seen someone with white hair. Despite most of the ones he's talked to being old people, he didn't dismiss the possibility of his old husband being an elderly, and perhaps he was already too late. However, even with hundreds - hell, even thousands of people with white hair he's seen and talked to, he hasn't found the one he's been looking for.

Lucas was on his way to his apartment when a familiar voice called his name. He turned around to see the reincarnation of his old friend - Athanasia, whose name was now Ae Cha. She no longer looked much like her past self, her long blonde hair now cut with the length only reaching up to her shoulders.

"I haven't seen you for... five years now? How have you been?" She flashed a friendly smile to the ruby eyed man, walking towards him.

"I've been... Fine." Was Lucas's curt answer.

Ae Cha blinked at him before furrowing her eyebrows. "You don't look like you are." Thanks, captain obvious. She stared at him for a few more seconds in silence and then proceeded to say, "Are you still looking for him? It's been thousands of years, Lucas."

The man scoffed, rolling his eyes, "If you're going to tell me to 'move on' like you always do, then don't waste your breath." He hissed in annoyance, adding more to his headache. "I can't give up on him." Especially not when he's never given up on me.

"God, you've always been so stubborn-" Ae Cha proceeded to say thing that were inaudible to Lucas's ears, for the only thing that caught his attention was a flash of white hair in a sea of strangers.

Ignoring Ae Cha, Lucas went past her to chase for the person. He was desperate. He couldn't lose him, not again.

He ran for them, even when they were far away. Lucas was slow. For fuck's say, he couldn't afford to be slow right now! He fastened his pace to catch up to the person, and as their distance shortened, in a desperate voice, Lucas shouted the name that he thought he's long since forgotten, "Ijekiel-"
