It was an accident, really.
It was a Friday night when the college seniors invited them in a drinking fest disguised as a welcoming party for new students.
It seemed to be a tradition for them to drown new students in alcohol and pressure them to drink in any way possible. Unfortunately for Lucas, he didn't get to get away as much as he wanted to. His idiot of a friend, Jeanette, was convinced that it was a nice thing for them to do and basically dragged him and Athanasia to the meeting place.
Her cousin was as dejected as he was, looking awkward and sullen as she stared at her drink.
Athanasia was luckily spared from most pressure and only managed to drink a little because of her position as crown princess, and anyone that would disobey her could very well be met with consequences. Jeanette, however, has drowned in countless of alcohol and still managed to stay sober. Her excitement was infectious. The fact that sweet, innocent Jeanette could drink was probably the biggest surprise Lucas had found out.
Ijekiel wouldn't be thrilled to find out. Speaking of the man, he wasn't anywhere to be found. He wouldn't let his sister drink unsupervised, atleast that was what Lucas expected of him. Was he wrong? He seemed to be a bit protective of Jeanette when they met.
"Ah, Alpheus, here you are!" one of the seniors exclaimed, and several heads turned to the owner of the name, except maybe for the students that were too drunk to care for a newcomer.
The silver haired student smiled as he entered. The superficial smile he always flashed to everyone professionally that almost always captured most people's hearts. Some students feigned an over dramatic gasp.
The senior patted an empty seat besides him, telling Ijekiel to sit there while his golden eyes met Lucas's. He merely clocked an eyebrow, and the lighter haired male disconnected their eye contact to smile at the senior, "I apologise but I think I'd prefer to sit my friends." He said, gesturing towards Lucas and the two girls. Athanasia waved back at him while Jeanette was too busy drinking and getting hyped up by the other students near them.
The senior didn't look too pleased but knew that even his position as a senior was meaningless because of Ijekiel's title as the heir of the Alpheus dukedom, so he let the male go towards them. Much to Lucas's despair, he sat down besides him.
His golden eyes widened at the amount of bottles his sister-figure drank, and Lucas thought she was about to get in trouble. Ijekiel, however, merely clicked his tounge and took the bottles of soju away from the brunette, the other students who were watching her drink eagerly left a disappointed "aw".
"Wha- brother, that's mine!" Jeanette pouted, huffing as she glared at Ijekiel - a rare sight, Lucas mused.
"You've had enough." Ijekiel said sternly, "I'll be calling Uncle Ana and tell him you've been over drinking, again."
He's pretty when he's mad.
The brunette gaped at him before she started angrily munching on the other snacks. Athanasia stared at them before assuring Jeanette, "Don't be mad, Jettie. Too much alcohol can kill you, you know."
"I wasn't going to drink that much!"
He heard Ijekiel sigh besides him, and he turned his head towards the lighter haired man. "Aren't you going to drink? The seniors will push you if you won't, you know." Lucas slurred before he blinked. Was he starting to get drunk?
He shook his head and drank another bottle of soju before he caught the ducal heir's stare. He raised a brow, "What? Not gonna drink?"
"You're drunk." He said flatly.
