Chapter 40

Author's Note: Probably the shittiest chapter I've written to date. Don't read this if you don't want to sift through 9k words of stale filler and dullish interactions I came up with. Or if you do, it's your choice-- I'm not going to waste an hour editing this piece of boring literature if I can make a new one

Edit2: okay after rereading this again it's somehow worse. Please for the sake of your sanity, don't read this cringe garbage

Edit3: I've rewritten the opening paragraphs. Add more interaction between Kiritsugu, Shirou and the Clock Tower so they can connect more with later chapters

Edit4: I'm sorry. It's still fucking garbage. My eyes hurt just reading this

Edit 5: Split the chapter in two parts. Looking a lot better now

A blade is the extension of it's wielder. To wield it is a task that requires focus, precision, and grace, and many more

Indeed, to be a skilled sword user is to understand yourself and the sword you're holding, combining both experience and skill into a single constant. Only through this unity of conformations can the wielder reach the height of perfection required for their class

With a small flex of her muscle, three blades swiftly stretched forth from between her fingers, forming paralell lines that run across the air like the claws of a wolf

The metallic edge were thinned out on a microscopic level, held only by their handle between the girl's thin fingers to balance out the weight on the tip, gleaming as the light shone on it.

As she moved it around, a small stream of air burst forward, as though cutting the wind in two

Only one look is enough to tell they were exquisitely crafted by expert smith, with each blades having an unnatural sharpness to them that can cleave through the hardest of concrete with ease once swung at sufficient velocity. The only downside comes with the small handle, which makes the armament structure unfit for melee uses such as swinging or slashing

The information provided to her through [Structural Analysis] ran through the user's mind. Through their reflection, a pair of amber eyes narrowed in concentration

It has been years since these church Keys were given to her. Since then she has learned to master various types of weapon like pole arms, longswords, broadswords and daggers alike. Her Magecraft's versatile nature allow her to have an innate grasp upon any items she came across, granting her increased proficiency whenever she came into contact with them

The conventional use of armaments would mean she has little to no experience with the holy items known as "Black Keys". Logically speaking, a couple of these won't be too hard to be put to use efficiently, considering the simplicity of their components

"Are you just going to stand there and wait for my attack?"

His bemused voice echoed across the empty chamber, snapping her out of her reverie

"No, of course not"

She breathed deeply. The weapons gleamed ominously in the air as the girl slowly processed the memories inside the keys. The experience of its wielder was slowly siphoned and simulated inside her mind, ready to be assembled into a perfect picture of form

A blade is the extension of its user. In this case, a perfection execution require her to imagine how one would move in accordance to their design, then replicate these techniques in reality without the slightest semblance of flaw
