Aug - Vacation Job

1 : Vacation Anyone?

"Phaaaaa...I'm bored..." A bored Beam whined to Phana who is busy preparing the dinner table. His best friend aka 'babysitter' had coerced him to take very long leaves from work because according to him, he is killing himself by continual taking a graveyard shift at the hospital.

Pha scowled at him sharply knowing precisely what that pale man next request would be as he has been asking for it since forever.

"If I see you at the hospital tomorrow, I'll drag you to the morgues and lock you inside for a week!!" Phana sternly said and Beam pouts a little then mockingly imitated Phana's way of talking.

Phana who is busy warming up the food in the oven saw it and reaches for the tomato and throw it to Beam and it landed perfectly on his forehead.

"Ouch!! Are you on your period? Geez, why so grumpy." Beam frown at the pain as he was confronted with the very fierce-looking Phana because of his remarks.

He was like that because of Beam being annoying.

"Alright! Alright, 'mummy' I won't work. I'll take a vacation. There satisfied?!" Beam rolled his eyes unamused at Phana's mother complex over him.

"But seriously "mummy", can I shortened the leaves then? 2 weeks is too much for me. I have nearly gone insane from these two days off, and it's just a sick leave. I might die from boredom in a week you know. I have nothing to do." Beam implored again after agreeing to take the vacation.

He's a workaholic by nature so suddenly sitting around doing nothing is ticking him off and made him nearly crazy.

"And have you passed out again? You're a doctor Beam, have some sense, will you! Why are you doing this to yourself? Use the leaves and go on a vacation somewhere. Have fun. Rest!!" Phana scolded trying to knock some sense to his best friend brain. He nearly gave him a heart attack two days before when he suddenly passed out during his rounding.

Diagnosis?

Fatigue! He's burnout!

Sigh!!

"Ehh!! Vacationing by myself?! How do you enjoy a vacation by yourself? I'll go if you go. Come let's go..naa..naa.." Beam is prying for Phana to join him on his vacation.

"Did you have amnesia or something Beam? I'm your substitute you dumbhead!! I can't. Go find someone else." Phana said while finish preparing the table for their dinner.

"Should've let me works then." Beam whispered but Phana still heard him.

Papp!!

"I'll ask Yo then." Beam said while grimacing in pain caused by the head smack he got from Phana. He reaches for his phone searching for a vacation place as suggested by Phana.

Sigh!

Later that day...

"Please Phi..naa..naa...please?? I can't afford to lose this job. The manager at LM Hotel suddenly changes the schedule last minute and it clashes with the event at Nine Hotel." Wayo is pleading to his brother to fill in his spot at Hotel Nine as a waiter because he has another job at other hotels.

His favourite singer is hosting a party in LM Hotel and his name got chosen as one of the banquet waiters but Nine Hotel is hosting its founder birthday party on the same day.

"Why are you doing this again Yo? I'm more than capable to support you financially. Pick one and get done with it." Beam said to his baby brother who is a student in Hotel Management at University K in the capital.

"And have you proudly telling me how you struggle to work and pay for your studies all my life? Nope! Not a chance! I'll do the same. I don't need your money." Wayo said unamused at his brother nagging him about taking multiple jobs so he can have his own money.
