16 : Weak Point

Forth feels emotionless.

He keeps staring at his hands that are smeared with Beam's blood.

Forth emotions are clouded with the memories he had of Beam fighting for his life in the ambulance. Forth insisted on joining along because he couldn't leave Beam side and he regretted it instantly because that will be his last memory of him if Beam didn't...

Forth didn't dare to even speak the taboo word in his mind.

Everything happened so fast he had a difficult time comprehending the fact that the shooting might somewhat is related to him. He still can't think of one enemy among the vast options he has that would dare to craft the attack on Beam and Mark so unexpectedly and publicly.

That was uncalled for.

Before the shooting took place, Forth was walking with Ming towards Beam's direction who is waiting at him at the hotel foyer when the sound of shooting penetrate his ears, surprising everyone at the hotel.

Ming and him race towards where the sound originated from among the chaos of people panicking and trying to save themselves. Both of them were stunned to see Kit holding Mark and Beam on the scene while crying hysterically.

Blood was seen flooding out from Beam and Mark clothes. Ming calls for help while Forth went to Beam who can still smile seeing him in his condition.

Stupid!! Why would he smile?!!

Forth put pressure on Beam's wound and instructed Kit to do so to Mark which he already did.

"It's okay. I will be fine." He muttered the words to Forth with difficulty as his breathing becomes unstable.

Everything went blurred for Forth until he arrives at the hospital while waiting for Beam to emerge from the OR. It's been an hour but still no news from Phana and it makes Forth uneasy to the max.

Forth feels like he's gonna go crazy with every minute Beam spent in the OR.

The nurse suddenly coming out telling them that Beam needs blood added to the numb pain he is experiencing at the moment.

Nothing seems to be in his favour.

Forth feels hopeless.

It's his fault for being careless. He's so into Beam he forgot Beam need protection as soon as possible from his enemies. They'll do anything to take him down by attacking his weak point which he initially doesn't have till Beam happen...

He then broke down on his sister embrace.

Luckily for him, Wayo comes just in time but Forth still can't brush off the worried he held since. He wanted to be positive but the blood on his shirt constantly remind him that he needs to be ready for the worst.

While Wayo is having his blood drawn out, Ming occasionally comes to check on Wayo from time to time and even brings him food and drink to consume if he is done with the procedure.

"Is this poisoned?" Wayo asked distrustfully. Ming blinked his eyes at Wayo sudden statement. This kid is having trust issues with him.

"Guess so. Take it when you are done." Ming replies with his usual expression to Wayo. Ming doesn't want to suddenly act differently to Wayo, afraid he will become more alert of him than he already did.

"Trust in Phi Pha, will you? He's not gonna let him die." Wayo said when he saw a tint of sadness in Ming's eyes. "....I just hope the one shooting him will kill himself first though, before Phi Pha had his hand on him," Wayo added chuckling a bit, much to Ming confusion because he's one of the reasons Beam is there in the first place.
