"Why is he still not waking up? You said he should be up by now." Forth keep taunting Phana since a while ago because Beam is indicating no sign of becoming conscious anytime soon. The eight hours time Phana said to Forth had reached its end and made Forth turned anxious.

Forth is afraid that Beam will be in a coma-like state his Grandfather.

"It's varied depending on people Forth. Calm down will you? He's out of danger already. He will wake up soon." Phana calmly answered Forth. Forth might get an anxiety attack any time soon if Beam still doesn't wake up.

"Are you sure? He..." Forth think he saw Beam's eyes fluttered to open so he keeps his yearning eyes on Beam's. Phana did too to confirm as Beam slowly open his eyes and crave a smile seeing Forth. Forth couldn't be happier to be able to see it again.

"Babe..." Forth softly whisper, caressing Beam's cheek with his thumb as Beam lean into Forth's big warm palm.

"Give him time to adjust and step aside, I need to check on him." Phana instructed Forth and he nods and steps back a bit to gives space for Phana to do his job.

Beam however takes his time to accommodate himself to his surroundings. It was still a blur to him. He didn't remember how he got there and...

"Shit!! It's hurt." Finally, the pain hit him. "What the hell happened?" Beam asked grunting at the sharp pain he felt on his left abdomen. He never experienced that kind of pain before. Did he get into an accident?

"Don't move too much baby. It will hurt more." Forth softly said. Now that Beam is fully aware of his condition, he felt guilty all of the sudden seeing him in pain because he was the reason he got hurt in the first place.

"You got shot. Remember?" Phana responded as he examined Beam's wound.

Beam eyes widen before the memories from the shooting come crashing to him like big waves and it's hurting his head.

"Mark!! How is Mark?!" Beam frantically asked Forth, gripping both of his hands as his heartbeat rises like crazy and his palm gets awfully, sweaty. Strangely, he feels like the room temperature had plunged to zero degrees Celsius.

During the incident, Beam remembered he move by reflex to protect Mark just in time that he saw the shooter pointing a gun at Mark from the open window of a moving car. But the gunman never stops shooting even though the bullet already hits him. The man keeps shooting then he saw Mark bleeds and Kit is crying profusely as he, himself is putting pressure on his gunshot wound with his fingers.

The pain! Beam feels it coming back to his abdomen.

As Beam's body started to tremble in fear reminiscing about the incident, he can't hear Forth or Phana's voices calling him and telling him to calm down.

Beam thinks he will get a panic attack because he suddenly experiencing difficulty in breathing and he feels like he is gonna pass out. He doesn't know how to handle it.

Darkness claims his sights and he knows nothing after that.

"Baby!!" Forth is in shock seeing Beam in that state as Phana do his doctor duty. He remains calm because, in their line of works, he saw the scene very much every day but seeing it happens to his family feels different.

And Forth is not helping to ease the situation.

"Don't you dare to break down in front of me!! Fix him or I'll make sure you two won't happen again. Understand?!!" Phana firmly warns Forth who is on the verge of crying himself out after Beam was claimed by unconsciousness.

Phana's warning shakes him out from the overwhelmed emotion he is experiencing right now. Phana is right, he had to hold in his sadness and grief for Beam sake. They both can't submit to being broken right now. One of them needs to be strong to lift one another back.
