Adit's POV

Today was the day when my family was going to see a girl for me. Why don't they understand I don't want to marry anyone. I love my bachelor life, no hurdles no obstacles. As usual after doing my morning routine I walk downstairs to see everyone around the kitchen island ready for breakfast.

"Here comes the prince of the house." My dad comments. Knowing his sarcastic tome I comment, "Thank you." I smirk in return. He huffs and sits back on his place. Mom laughs a little as the three ladies hussle around in the kitchen. "So today we are going to the Shah's, you remember right Adit?" Mom narrows her eyes at me suspiciously.

"Yes, mom I remember but is it really necessary. I don't even want to marry." I try persuading her. "Adit you are 28 turning 29 soon. I want you to be settled happily just like your brothers." She says. I huff not wanting to anger her more as I leave the topic there. I look at my brothers, Aakash and Aman who are happily married to their wives, Divya and Priya. They are just like my sisters always by my side, whenever their husbands target me.

"Adit, now we just need a wife for the youngest son of the Mehra family to be a complete family. And the girl we are going to see today is very good." Mom says "Okay fine I'll marry her just for you all, don't be expecting anything from me." and I walked out of there.

During lunchtime Aakash got a call that there has been an emergency and we are needed in the office immediately. I could see mom's face fall, but I pay attention to it. As we reached office, the operator told us that there has been a malfunction in the IT department. I called all the IT staff members to solve the problem as soon as possible since everything regarding out company, our profits, our projects might get leaked.

After seven hours on and several cups of coffee later, the bug was removed and nothing was leaked. Looking at my brothers I know their Sunday was ruined just because of me. The weekends are teh only time when they can spend some time with their wives. "Sorry bhai (brother) because of me you had to come to office today." I tell as I start the car into drive mode. "It's ok Adit chill, It's our company also" Aakash says. I nod once again not at all convinced about it.

Reaching the house, I was surprised as no one was still home yet? "No one is home yet? They said they would be back by 9?" Aman says. I put in my fingerprint on the scanner and the door opens to silence. "Wait I'll call Priya and ask where are they?" He calls her and they talk for a few minutes, "They are on their way. Something happened there. I asked Priya, but she told she'll tell once tehy reach home." he says huffing. I seriously hope nothing happened to them.

Some time later, we heard the bell ring and Aakash dashed to get the door. As I saw everyone's faces, I knew it was something. "Hey ma, how was the meeting? " Aman asks making Priya sit on the sofa as I get water for all of them. "Thank you Adit." Bhabhi smiles. "Oh it was nothing, it was good. The girl was so good. She was so respectful." Mom gushes about her forgetting that she was drinking water and chokes on it. "Careful mom, first drink it, then talk." I rub her back. "Sorry sorry." she giggles and I shake my head. "Yes, Aakash she is so sweet and you know Adit she is just a workaholic like you. Her father is so proud of his daughter. Even her friend was so sweet and welcoming." Divya bhabhi gushes once again. Dad chuckles as Aman and Aakash stare wide eyed at teh ladies. Me on the other hand do not care at all. I just sit there bored scrolling through my phone.

"Adit, you have to marry her. She is the best girl that we have seen so far." Mom pleads, "But mom I don't want to marry anyone right now. I uh I want to be financially stable first then we'll think about marriage okay?" I say "Adit you are 28, CEO of the Mehra Industries, one of the top five companies of the world. How much more financial stability do you need in life. And stop making excuses. If you don't say yes then...uh... then I'll stop eating and you know what happens if I don't have my meals properly." She smirks, definitely my mother. Blackmail is her born right. I even think that's how Aakash bhai got married. "Yes bhai please......please" Priya says. "Nope not happening. Goodnight." and I jog upstairs to my room.

Next day I wake up early for gym and head downstairs for breakfast. As always it was served on the dining table. "Where's mom?" I ask confused as to why she is not here. She is the first one always. "She doesn't want breakfast." dad says. "What, Why?"

"Because you refused for the marriage." He explains further. "Why is she behaving like this. She knows she has to have break fast on time." I sigh running my hand through my hair. I go towards my parents bedroom and see her on the couch reading a book.

"Mom why are you not at breakfast?" I ask sitting on my knees in front of her. "I won't eat unless you say yes." She tells me in a stern tone. Once again this. "Okay fine I'll marry her if that makes you happy." I say. "Really?" she asks confirming if I'm joking or not. "Yes, really only if you have your meals properly." I say. "Okay I will, lets go and tell teh others." she kisses me and runs out taking me with her.

"Jay, he said Yes." she jumps towards dad as he catches her swiftly. I chuckle looking at them. They are so in love yet. "really bhai?" Divya and Priya Bhabhi scream at the same time in astonishment. I just nod not wanting to say anything. "Okay then I'll arrange a meeting for you both to meet personally since you were not able to meet her." Dad says getting his phone out probably calling them.

"No wait dad, it's not necessary. If you and Mom have decided then it would definitely be good for me right?" I say not wanting to come out as stubborn since I did not want to meet her at all. My whole family is in her praises and I don't want to be teh reason for them to be upset.

"Okay if you think so, but we should at least tell them that it's a yes from our side." Mom says and starts her phone calls as I return back to my room to get ready for office.
