Chapter 14 - A memorable gift

After changing into a spare set of clothes from my closet in my room, I went back to the living room to find Jungkook leaning against the wall.

I said, " Come on let's start with the rooms."

He nodded and both of us went inside one of the guest rooms to start cleaning.  Just as I was about to plug on my headphones, Jungkook asked, "Can you connect your music the speaker? I have my mini speaker in my backpack."

I nodded and connected my phone to the speaker and turned on the music. I gave a small cloth and a bottle of spray to Jungkook to wipe the cabinets, while I started to keep the cardboard boxes up on the loft.

After a while of cleaning, as I placed the last box on the loft, I felt my feet slip. I left out a squeak and braced myself for the impact. But it never came, and all I felt was Jungkook's arms around my waist to stop me from falling. He slowly set me down on the floor and asked worriedly, "Are you ok? You didn't get hurt did you?"

I shook mg head and said, "I am fine, thanks to you catching me."

Just as I finished saying that, my favorite BTS song, "Permission to Dance," came up. I immediately beamed at Jungkook and dragged him to the middle of the room. He laughed at that and started dancing along with me.

We were so lost in dancing that we didn't realize how close we were to each other. After the song finished we looked at each other and laughed heartily. Once we stopped, we realized how close we were. We stared into each other's eyes, stuck in our own thoughts, unable to move.

I don't know how long we stayed like that, but we might not have moved if it weren't for the doorbell ringing. Almost immediately, we shook out of our trance, and I cleared my throat. The doorbell rang again, and I hurriedly left the room and went towards the door.

I opened the door and found the members and Leena akka. I ushered them all in quietly and locked the door. They kept all their things in the now cleaned room, and we all took up jobs to finish cleaning up different parts of the house.

After a few hours of cleaning, all of us collapsed on the couch in the living room. We had all been working hard and hadn't had anything to eat since lunch. Looking at everyone I asked, "Do you guys want to cook lunch? We already had lunch outside and I really don't want to order food."

Leena akka nodded and said, "Well then since we don't have anything in the kitchen, give me a list of things that you need and I will go buy it from the store. Maybe one of you can come with me."

Jin hyung immediately said, " Tae can go with you. The rest of us can help Neha set up the kitchen as it nice and clean."

Tae nodded and held his hand out for Leena akka to take. I was awed  at the cute gesture and felt myself gushing over it.

At that moment, I wished nothing more than that for myself with Jungkook. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize I was staring at them.

Suddenly, I felt a nudge on my side, bringing me out of my thoughts. I turned to see Jungkook with a grin on his face. He said, "You are staring at them. It's starting to get a bit creepy."

I felt me face heating up with embarrassment. I stood up and said, "I am going to write down the things we need. You guys change and get ready." With that I ran to my bedroom.

After writing down a list of things that was needed, I gave it to Tae and Leena akka. Once the two of them, the rest of us started to arrange all the utensils in kitchen.

After setting it all up, we went back to the living room. As we were all talking, Hobi hyung suddenly said, " Neha and Jungkook, all of us had discussed some thing when the both of you and Tae and Leena were busy." I looked at him questioningly and nodded for him to continue.

He said, "We were thinking that on the night of their reception, before their wedding, let's do something nice for them. I mean we all were planning to dance together on a song anyway, but lets do something more memorable. So we were thinking let's make a play based on their love story. What do you guys think?"

Jungkook looked at him excitedly and said, "That's an amazing idea. Let's do it then. But how are we going to practice? They will be with us all the time."

Everyone nodded and started thinking, when I got an amazing idea. I excitedly looked at them and said, "We can actually practice everyday in the night. I can convince Leena akka's mom to let both of them stay with her in her house. Then we can all practice and do our thing together."

Namjoon hyung got up and said, "That's an amazing idea. We can also try to include Leena's sisters in the play if they are willing. Maybe they could also stay over here with you in your bedroom while the rest of us use the other three bedrooms."

I nodded at them and immediately called Leena akka's mom. We talked about all the arrangements and I told her about our surprise for them, and she happily agreed, saying that she would invite the couple to stay over at her house till we all left for the Maldives. I soon cut the call and turned to the members with a smile on my face.

I said happily, "She agreed to our plan happily!"

At that everyone cheered happily and excitedly.  All of us looked forward to giving Tae and Leena akka a really memorable wedding gift.
