"Hawk! Stop being so careful with your sword movements!" A familiar voice was heard in Moon's dream as she was sleeping in her sleeping-quarter. She dreamed about two beans. It was the younger Hawk with his former captain.
The past Pitch stopped attacking him with his training sword and looked frustrated at the purple commander. The two were currently in one of those spacious training halls, where a lot of beans could train together at once, but they were all alone there. Hawk wavered and was really exhausted from the training they were doing.
"I am really trying, Pitch! I am trying my best -"
"Well, try harder! If you fight fair in a real sword fight, you'd probably be dead by now!"
Still heavily breathing from all the movements Hawk did before, the past commander secretly cringed by the serious tone from his captain's voice. There was no time for the purple bean to answer him back, as Pitch continued to attack him with the training sword. Hawk almost got hit by the movement, but he managed to block it in time. The sounds from the swords echoed in the hall and the commander gave his very best to focus on Pitch's counter attacks. But he couldn't. Hawk got too distracted by the black bean and his emotions. He didn't want to hurt him.
Pitch was so frustrated and disappointed in Hawks training progress that he decided to make a move which knocked Hawks training sword right out of his hand and made it clatter to the ground. The purple one gasped as he lost his sword, suddenly saw how the black captain carefully laid the top of the wood stick on his chest, as an act and lesson, that he would be dead now.
Hawks former captain looked sternly and focused on him, kept his position, while the silence in the training hall flew around them.
Too exhausted and tired from the training, the purple commander knew that he would never be that strong like Pitch. Even if he tried his best, his sword skills didn't seem to improve. Pitch stopped to threaten his crew member with the training sword and walked closer to him.
"I-I... can't do this." Hawk admitted and broke the silence, almost starting to cry. "I don't want to hurt you."
"Hawk." Pitch said softly as he stood in front of him. "This is just a training session and not a real fight."
"I am aware it's just..." The former Commander sighed and continued the sentences differently.
"... I am sorry if I am a disappointment for you."
Suddenly, the dream Moon had with these two changed as Hawk gave Pitch a tight hug, after he said those words to him. Black shadows made it difficult for Moon to hold the current dream together. She tried to focus, to keep this dream in her mind but she couldn't. Moon heard a sudden high-pitched screeching voice which gave her the creeps while the dream got darker with mysterious swirling black dust. It sounded familiar to the shrieks the spirits made, who attacked the crew. She was right with that thought. The scene popped up before the cyan bean could even summon the white sword in preparation to smite one of them, to protect Hawk.
Even the words Hawk yelled to her as a warning echoed again: "Moon, behind you!"
Moon couldn't believe how the images quickly turned around: the spirit who was about to attack her changed into a sharp sword but instead, Moon could react in the dream at all; the situation once again changed all too fast for her and the dark sword stabbed right into Hawks chest.
"HAWK!" Moon yelled as loud as she could and woke up from the nightmare. She panted heavily, sweated a lot out of fear and fright. That nightmare was too much for her heart to handle. Tears slowly started to show up on her visor as the cyan bean tried to realize what she just dreamed about. Calm down Moon, she quietly thought to herself. It was just a nightmare, just a nightmare...
