I found a few ways to destress and they work extremely well. So here they are.

1. Talk It Out: I've found talking about problems I'm having, whether it be school, work, relationships, or just life in general, extremely helpful. I usually go to one of my friends because he's been through a lot of the same things I've been through and he gives great advice, especially on the serious things. And for the things that he doesn't know about yet, I go to my parents because they've been through it before and give great advice. And before I even go to my friend for help, I pray about it. Prayer truly changes things, I know first hand.

2. Do Something You Love: Doing an activity you love can really help you destress. Whether it be dance, singing, art, running, even watching your favorite movie takes your mind off of your problems and puts it on the things that make you happy, which gives you motivation and strength to address your actual problem. You need to address the problem sooner than later because if you let it linger, it will take you down. Trust me on that one.

3. Drink Some Tea: Tea is one of the best things in the world. It destresses, heals, calms, cleanses, it basically does anything that's good to your body. I love Chamomile, Green Tea, and Raspberry Tea, all with lemon and honey because those also cleanse your body. Triple cleanser...yes please!

4. Laugh, Laugh, Laugh: They say laughter is the best medicine, and being someone who hates taking medicine because nothing except narcotics help, I find that to be very true. Finding something to laugh at or someone to laugh with is the best thing in the world and I personally love the fact that I have a best friend who makes me laugh on the daily, not to mention funny videos on YouTube, and TV shows and movies.

5. Try Not To Procrastinate: Procrastination is a major stressor to everyone and the best way to deal with it is to attack the problem when it's handed to you. So if you have a paper due in three days, do it the night you got it. If you have an issue with someone, work that ish out asap or it just may eat you alive. Work out you problems before they work you out is basically what I'm saying. And I'm talking to myself as well because if procrastination was in the Olympics, I'd have all the gold medals for quality work in a short amount of time. Like I'm talking 15 pagers that I've had for a month that I decide to do at 12am the day it's due. 20 minutes later I'm printing out a A+ paper. Not going to lie, it's awesome, but it's stresses me out so much because I push everything off till the last minute so after that paper, I still have two other 2-pagers, three book summaries, and a small model. So basically I get no sleep because of all this.
