We meet the Jordans at the top of the west field. There are five of them as well. In particular order we have:

Alex: he's strong but stupid

Lazlo: he's also stupid but slightly less strong

Ean: the leader of the group, less stupid has some quick moves but little strength

Terrel: I know nothing about, I think he's about Jules' equal but boring

Yancy: just plain evil, wicked in a fight as well

That's my totally unbiased opinion based off of the various scraps we've had with them. With them, Ean is their spokesperson, Yancy his second who has all the bad ideas.

"47s," Ean says, spreading his arms out, "Always good to see you."

"Morons, I think I'm losing braincells just being in the vicinity, what's happening?" Patch is our spokesman even though he says things like that.

"Here I thought this would be a pleasant little talk----you guys really let the normie be in charge?" Ean asks.

"We like to think of ourselves a democracy. What brings you out here, or did you just want to sniff each other's asses under the full moon?" Patch asks.

"Dial it back," Emma mutters under her breath.

"Heard you went to see the police today," Yancy says.

"Oh, Jordan still shits his pants at telepathy?" yeah one of them does try to knock Patch to the ground, but Emma and I raise our hands and stop them.

"If you wanted information you shouldn't let the normie speak for you," Ean says.

"I know it's your turn to use the braincell Ean but save it----we already know everything we need, right Nel?" Patch looks back at our sister who nods.

"They think they found a body that way," she says, pointing off vaguely.

"Mind slugs," so that's when all out war breaks out. Not because the Jordans attack us, but because Ean insulted Nel so Patch just flat out decks him. He does not block in time, because he completely was not expecting that to happen.

Of course the Jordans immediately think to retaliate, but Emma, Nel, and I have that mostly under control. They do succeed in knocking Patch and Jules down, but Nel levitates Ean and throws him into two of the others, plowing them back down the hillside. They come crawling back up of course, trying to strangle us with our clothing and knock us over. I mostly focus on protecting Patch and Jules, who, bless them, try to help.

"Do I get to say I told you so?" I mutter, as Nel throws a cloud of dirt and grass into their faces.

"NO, shut up," Emma says.

"Yeah, it's not like you'd get this kind of practice without our help," Patch says, hopping to his feet to go bite one of the Jordans. He does bite Yancy, who is so focused on telekinesis that he doesn't notice until too late then I have to protect Patch from the results of that, which is stopping Yancy from throwing him into the moon or whatever he was trying to do.

"Thanks bro," Patch says.

"Stay," I growl, pushing him behind me just in time to block another blow from Yancy. He sees me as his equal, not the girls, because he is stupid. And I'm more than happy to distract him. I'm more of a brute force kind of guy anyway.

Nel or Emma, one of them, flips him over so he lands face first in the muddy cow pasture. The rest of the Jordans retaliate brutally, mostly against Jules and Patch who are laughing and being generally unhelpful.
