Driver's Permit

Backstory: Elias, age 16, got his driver's permit and the guys are trying to teach him how to drive better.

Joseph

Joe: Slow down. Slow down. You don't need to rush.
Elias: Sorry.
Joe: You're fine.

Joe: Blinkers, Elias.
Elias: Which way?
Joe: Left.

Joe: Alright, stop at that stop sign. You see it?
Elias: Yeah.
Joe: Okay, stop. Stop.
Elias: stops car
Elias: Too hard?
Joe: Just a little bit, you're fine. I had trouble getting used to it too.

Jay

Jay: You can speed up you know.
Elias: But the speed limit is-
Jay: You'll be fine. There aren't any cops around.
Elias: You know it concerns me that you're more interested with your phone then making sure we don't die.
Jay: looks away from phone Are we driving into a tree? Are we in a lake?
Elias: No, we're still on the road bu-
Jay: Okay. Speed up. Goes back to phone

Elias: mumbling Great.
Jay: Hm?
Elias: Cops behind us. Thanks alot!
Jay: Alright, just speed up.
Elias: Nah. I'm pulling over.
Jay: Are you crazy!? I'm not paying for that!
Elias: I'd rather.
Jay: Just speed up!
Elias: Okay then after we reach top speed, I'm kicking you out in the middle of the highway and hope you get hit by a car!

Daniel

Dan: SLOW DOWN! NO ONE'S CHASING US!
Elias: What?
Dan: SLOW DOWN! YOU'RE SPEEDING! IT'S ONLY 25!
Elias, who's going 23: visible confusion
Dan: ELIAS, DID YOU HEAR ME!?
Elias, still confused: But I'm not speeding.
Dan: YES YOU ARE!!
Elias: No I'm not!
Dan: voice cracking Oh my gosh, we're gonna die!
Elias: I'M ABOUT TO GRAB A FUCKING BAZOOKA!! THAT'LL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT, NOT MY SUPPOSED "SPEEDING"!!! NOW UNLESS YOU ARE DYING I SUGGEST YOU SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

Dan: Watch that car! WATCH THAT CAR!
Elias: You mean that car waaaaaay up there that we are nowhere close to? I think we're fine.

Dan: ELIAS! STOP! STOP!
Elias: slams brakes out of frustration
