~In The Past~

Inuyasha sat at the tree he was once pinned too, staring up at the sky. He had found someone he loved but that someone had chosen to mate another. a female wolf demon. They seemed perfect for each other. Inuyasha almost felt a fool for having thought he stood a chance with the male. He stood and begun to walk, wandering the lands with no clue who he should turn to. Sango and Miroku had started their own family so Inuyasha didn't want to disturb them. Sesshomaru was busy tryinng to prevent a revolution from breaking out. His mothers cruel reign had left Sesshomaru quite a few enemys when his mother finally handed the throne over to him. Inuyasha wandered, wanting to find somewhere he could find comfort and safety. He found himself in an old and seemingly abandoned palace. He wandered the palace until he stumbled upon a man in one of the rooms. It was Naraku... Upon seeing the hanyu Naraku attacked. Inuyasha fought back against him but the odds did not seem to be in his favor.

Just about a mile a way stood Koga, searching for game to hunt down for his pack. Before long Koga had begun to pick up the scent of some familiar blood. Koga took off in a panic though it was all for not. He arrived at the old palace and searched every room until he found the precious hanyu laying at Narakus feet, barely hanging on.  koga swiped his claws at Naraku, causing him to jump back. Koga crouched down next to the wounded male, gently cupping his cheeks in his hands. Inuyasha were only slightly open, his vision blurry and dotted though he could cleary make out Kogas features as he smelled his scent and heard his voice.

"Inuyasha? wake up! its going to be okay! everything will be o- ergh!!!" Kogas reassurance was cut off by a pained grunt as the blade of a sword went through his back and stabbed straight through his chest. Kogas eyes softened as he looked at Inuyasha, ignoring the heavy sense of doom lingering in the air around them. He placed a soft kiss on Inuyashas forehead, his body slightly trembling.

"I... promise...another life..." Was all Inuyasha could hear from Kogas voice, feeling warm tears streak down his cold cheeks. Inuyasha slipped into nothingness. Koga watched the other male die beneath him with a sorrowful smile, unable to cry. Naraku swiftly finished the job, killing Koga as well.....

~In The Present~

Inuyasha woke up to the sound of his mother calling him from the kitchen. He yawned as he rubbed his head. he couldn't help but feel as if he had a nightmare though he couldn't remember what it was about. Inuyasha got up from bed and got dressed into something decent that he had prepared the night before. He took a look around his nearly empty room with a small and satisfied smile. It was a saturday morning. The first day he would be moving into his new on campus dorm room. Inuyasha excitedly ran to the kitchen, kissing his mothers cheek as he swiped a piece of jelly toast, holding it in his mouth as he put his long black hair into a ponytail.

"Yashi dear. did you make sure to grab the last of your things?" his mother questioned him. Inuyasha picked up a bag from a hook on the wall, holding it up to show her as he quickly scarfed down his toast.

"I'm leaving now!~" Inuyasha spoke in a sing song tone before gulping down a glass of milk. His mother giggled sweetly as she kissed his cheek.

"Don't forget to come back and visit me. I love you." his mother smiled as she spoke.

"Love you too mom." Inuyasha returned the smile before dashing out the door and running towards campus, wanting to beat the registration rush. as soon as he arrived he met his homeroom teacher. A nice woman named Kagura. She stood next to her husband and her daughter, Sesshomaru and Rin. She hand Inuyasha his dorm key and a map of the campus before pointing him in the direction of the club sign up stands. Inuyasha looked around a bit before signing up for karate club. as he was about to go explore he was stopped by a woman named Ayame. She begged him to join the acrobatics club so they wouldn't get disbanded. Inuyasha was hesitant but gave a sigh as he caved in and signed his name on the sheet of paper. She greatfully thanked him before running off to tell her clubmates the good news. Inuyasha shook his head as he began to walk the school to get a handle on his surroundings. He did his best to memorize the halls as he walked to all the different rooms, first visiting the resturants the campus had to offer, then visiting the acrobatics room, then the karate room which seemed to be merged with the kendo room, and lastly he visited the school library. He walked the isles in amazement at how huge the library was. He was about to pull a book off the shelf but someone on the other side of the isle grabbed the same book. Both boys retracted their hands, a bit startled. Inuyasha stared at the book until it shifted, leaving the shelf. Inuyasha slightly leaned down to peek through the hole that was left by the absent book only to see a pair of blue eyes already peeking through at him. All the boys could see of each other were their eyes though it was clear they boy with the blue eyes was smiling.

"Oh no. Did you want this book?" the boy cooed out in a teasing tone. something about his tone peeved off Inuyasha.

"Uh. Actually yes!" Inuyasha huffed at him. He didn't actually want it...

"too bad~" The boy chuckled as he stood and began to walk away with the book. Inuyasha huffed as he quickly ran to the end of the isle and sharply turning to go down the other isle, only to bump into the other male as he was trying to leave, hitting him with enough force to send them both falling to the floor. The armful of books the other male was holding were sent flying out of his arms.

"sorry..." Inuyasha grumbled out as he rubbed his aching head, a bit embarrassed by his mistake.

"Jesus! I was just joking! Now you're really not getting the book!" Koga huffed as he began to collect his books, hoping none were damaged.

"I said sorry!!!" Inuyasha huffed out offended as he watched the other male stand up with the books.

"Yeah yeah. Whatever." Koga rolled his eyes as he hooked one hand under Inuyashas arm and swiftly pulling him to his feet with a single tug, causing Inuyasha to become slightly shocked. Koga began to walk to the check out desk, still with a slightly sour look on his face. Inuyasha huffed as he quickly stomped out the libary and headed towards his dorm room to unpack and settle in.

Koga stood at the counter as he waited for his books, slightly spacing out. When he first saw Inuyashas eyes he felt as if he couldn't breathe. He felt as if he already knew his eyes so well and when he saw the boy himself; when he felt the way they bumped into each other he felt as if it was something he had known before. Koga groaned as he picked up his books, knowing he wouldn't be able to concentrate until he could see the boy again. Koga spun his key on his finger as he walked to his dorm room though when he got there the door was already slightly jarred open. Koga pocketed his key as he pushed the door open. his eyes slightly widened in shock at the irony of seeing him again so soon, watching Inuyasha spin around to see who was entering the room. Koga flashed a crooked smile when he saw the look of dread cross Inuyashas face.

"Have we met before?" Koga asked it as a serious question, curious to know if they had met before that day but Inuyasha gave an annoyed look, clearly taking it as some kind of lame tease or joke.
