Ugly/Beautiful

Koga paced the waiting room as he waited to hear what had become of his lover. Soon enough a doctor stepped out and walked over to Koga with a look full of sorrow.

"He'll be okay. He's heavily medicated right now so he'll be asleep for quite a while. If you want, I can show you to his room." The doctor spoke as he began to lead Koga to Inuyashas recovery room. Koga let out a sigh of relief as he followed the doctor though once he saw Inuyasha all he could feel was fear and heartbreak. Laying in a hospital bed, Inuyasha was connected to wires and tubes, with an oxygen mask on his face. His closed eyes looked so tired and his hands looked worn out. The sound of his heaart monitor was clearly beeping at a steady pace. Koga sat in a chair next to Inuyashas bed and gingerly held one of his hands with both of his as he stared intently at him.....

~Dream Of Another Time~

Inuyasha sat next to a wolf demon, wearing white wolf pelts instead of his red kimono. Koga glanced at the half breed as he smiled, wearing black wolf pelts of his own. Inuyasha could remember the events leading up to this event. A bet that they wouldn't last a day as each others mated pair. The first one to call it quits would be the loser. Though neither of them would admit it, they enjoyed sitting next to each other in front of a private feast in Kogas den, wearing the traditional ceremonial furs. Inuyashas hair was done up all pretty like in tangels and flowers while Kogas hair laid flat against his back, a simple circlet resting on his head.

"Did we really need all the formalities? It's just a fake mating and everyone knows that." Inuyasha mumbled, a bit embarrassed the wolf tribe had hosted a moon ceramony for them.

"Of course. I wanted it to be authentic." Koga responded as he sipped sake from a small wooden cup. Inuyasha watched closely as the liquid carefully passed through Kogas slightly parted lips.

"Authentic, huh?" Inuyasha questioned as he slightly leaned closer to the other male. Taking notice, Koga lifted his mouth from his cup as he leaned closer too Inuyasha. Both boys had the same thought as they countinued to inch closer. Before their lips could touch however they quickly pulled away as they heard footsteps approaching.

"Koga! Hurry up you two! The moons almost at its peak!" Ginta spoke as he poked his head in before quickly running off.

"Umm... What happens when the moons at its peak?" Inuyasha questioned awkwardly. Koga cleared his throat before giving him an answer.

"The howl. It's a wolf thing. It marks the end of the ceremony and afterwards, new couples head back to their dens to... ehm... mate..." Koga responded as he lightly blushed. Inuyashas cheeks tinted a light red as he stared at Koga longingly. They were only playing pretend. But if Koga wanted to make it authentic then would they 'mate' as well? Koga soon stood up, offering his hand to help Inuyasha stand up.

"Come. Lets howl a song that'll make them all envy us." Koga spoke sternly with a charming smile. Inuyasha took his hand as he stood from his spot, giving a slight nod. The two headed outside where everyone was already rushing to fnd their perfect howling spot.

"Ehm. Koga. I've never howled before..." Inuyasha spoke in a hushed tone.

"Don't worry. It's easy. It's just like singing. I'll go first so watch me." Koga reassured him as they made it to their spot above everyone else. One by one, the wolves and the demons began to howl with their heads held high. Koga gave Inuyasha one last charming smile before lifting his head and letting out a loud and deep howl. It almost sounded as if the howl truly resonated in his soul before fading into the air. Inuyasha was in awe and soon he felt compelled to respond. Inuyasha lifted his head as he closed his eyes, letting the feeling ring strong in his heart before letting out a beautiful howl that blended with Kogas perfectly. Once their howling became harmonious others began to stop and stare. Within a few moments their song came to an end and the other began to howl and cheer. Soon everyone began to head back to their dens. Inuyasha and Koga headed back as well.
