Ch 5

Downstairs

Alexei: "mommy"

Avery: "hey Alexei what are you doing?"

Alexei: "i was drawing while you and mommy were upstairs"

Avery: "can i see alex?"

Alex shows the drawing to Avery

Avery: "is that grandpa?"

Alexei: "yes that's grandpa nick"

(avery)Nick or Fury as most people call him is the head director of shield and Talia and I's boss. He was always a father figure for Natalia so when we had Alexei we asked him if he would be Alexei's grandpa since my parents were dead and so were Natalia's. Fury was always a tough and strict person. He would never crack a smile or laugh but that changed when we had Alexei. Whenever fury was with Alexei, he would be laughing almost every few seconds.

Avery: "he would be proud of that drawing"

Avery sat down on the couch and Alexei sat next to her

Alexei: "mommy what happened?"

He holds Avery's right hand which was warped in the bandages

Avery: "nothing, mommy just had a little accident, that's all"

(Avery)Natalia and I did our best to shield Alexei from everything that was going on with my mental health. Especially everything that involves the red room. We don't want anything to happen to him and most definitely don't want to red room finding him. We couldn't have him go through all the trauma Natasha and I experienced when we were kids.

Natasha walks downstairs moments later

Avery:" I'm sorry about earlier baby"

Nat: "hey it's okay I know you didn't mean to do that okay"

She kisses the top of Avery's head and walks over to the kitchen

Nat: "Alexei 20 more minutes and then you have to go to bed"

Alexei: "but I don't want to"

Avery: " you have to Alexei, you have school"

Alexei: "aww"

Later on that night

Natasha and Avery are in their bedroom

Nat: "how are you feeling since earlier?"

Avery: "I'm okay... can we not talk about it, please"

Nat: "okay. Alexei is asleep, do you want to want to do something?"

Avery: "like what?"

Nat: "what about watching a movie"

Avery: "okay but no horror"

Nat: "what!"

Avery: "I said no horror. I can't deal with that stuff"

Nat: "but that's the best-"

Avery: "no Natalia. you can choose the movie while i get ready for bed"

She walks into the bathroom

A few minutes later

Nat: "what about Jumanji"

Avery: "which one"

Nat: :Jumanji welcome to the jungle"

Avery: "sure just let me finish doing my ha-"

Before every can finish Natasha pulls over, onto her

Avery: "ow my hand"

Nat: "sorry"

She kisses avery

Nat: "ready to watch it?"

Avery: "not really. second thought i don't want to watch it after what you did"

Nat: "you are so stubborn"

Avery: "oh i am stubborn"

She slaps Natasha's shoulder with her left hand

Nat: "ow"

Avery laughs

(A/N) IMPORTANT:  I have an important question for you all. would you all rather have more chapters to the story but shorter chapters or fewer chapters with longer chapters? sorry if this makes no sense. 

think of it like this 

more chapters= shorter word count or fewer chapters=longer word count
