It was now Thursday of the fourth week since waking up. His family hadn't been here the day before and weren't going to visit him today. He was bored. Beyond bored. He loved being on tour and during that time sometimes all he wished for was to be bored for once. This is not what he meant.

Watching TV all day, besides his sessions of course, was not doing it anymore for him. His daily session was not until 3pm. It was only 10am now so Louis decided to go exploring. It would be easier if he was able to walk. He will just have to try and get the wheelchair moving by himself.

Louis sat up in bed slowly, and turned sideways. He sat there for a while, scared to get dizzy if he stood up too fast. After a few minutes, he reached out to the wheelchair that was standing next to his bedside table. Very carefully Louis stood up, holding onto the table and bed for balance. Thankfully he wasn't attached to any machines, otherwise this wouldn't even be possible now. He took mini steps to stand in front of the wheelchair. When he achieved that he let himself fall into the chair. This was harder than expected without his usual help.

Up til now he was never required to use his arms to get the wheels rolling, but now without a nurse he didn't really have a choice.

„Better than sitting in this bed any longer," he muttered to himself.

It wasn't hard to figure out how to move the wheelchair, but when he got to the door the next obstacle was to overcome. How the hell do you open a door, when you can barely reach the doorhandles. Without thinking about it he just leaned forward a little more than he should have and twisted the doorknob. He pulled the door open and fell back in his chair. Thankfully it wasn't one of those door that shut by themselves, so he had enough time to get through.

In the aisle in front of his room, he realized that he had no idea where to go. Where was anything exciting located in this hospital?

„It's a hospital. Nothing exciting here, more like the opposite." He sighed, deciding to just go for it. When he got to an overview of what floors held what unit, he stopped to figure out where to go. He was now in the general hospital ward, but daily he has to go to the physical therapy or occupational therapy ward. None of those were appealing right now. His eyes settles on the maternity ward. He had been there before. Well, not really there. But his nurse usually took that way because she knows Louis cheers up at the sight of the little ones. So naturally that's were he goes to.

At the elevator he was already out of breath. His upper arm strength was obviously not improving, but he didn't care. He got in the elevator and pressed number 3. The elevator was too fast for his liking. That break wasn't big enough for his arms to rest a little. Albeit that he still got out and made his way to the babies. When he was there he looked through the window, relaxing immediately.

He still remembers his siblings being that small. How time flies by, he thought. Louis was thankful that no one else was there right now. It would be kind of creepy if someone asked which baby is his, and well, being a man and just staring at random babies... let's just say not the best conditions.

Life is so easy for those little things. He was a little jealous that why could be so at peace. Louis got lost in his thoughts, not really realizing how long it had been since he came up here. A nurse shook him out of it.

„Louis, what are you doing up here? Aren't you supposed to be laying in bed?" She looked down on him, one hand on her hip. She was apparently not pleased with Louis' expedition but he couldn't care less.

„I was bored." He shrugged. It was the truth, no one can expect him to just lay there all day.

„You know that you are not supposed to get out of bed by yourself. You are not strong enough for that." Louis didn't even look at her.
