Destiny POV
We sat there in the principles office together in silence. I had just cried in the arms of my enemy.
"Hey Destiny, I'm sorry for all of those years of teasing. You don't deserve that. I know that you're actually really nice. Also I didn't realize what was going between you and your um, brother I guess. I'm sorry." He was apologizing. Why though?
"What do you want Mason? I'm not an idiot."
"Seriously. I'm apologizing. You don't deserve that." He was standing in front of me now. I still had my head down. It was times like these where I seriously needed my mother. Sadly though she died of cancer four years ago. I was choked up.
"So you want to be, friends?" I asked obviously not sure of what he was saying.
"Yeah, but only if you want to be. I mean, I don't blame you if you don't want-" I cut him off.
"Sure. Lets be friends." I said. A small smile placed on my lips. I looked up to see his eyes wide with surprise. And then the principle came in.

"That's fine baby. Just go get some rest!" I heard my step mom kiss Marcus on the cheek. She listened to his false story of the fight. Now I had to feel her wrath.
"Okay, let's see. No dinner for 2 weeks and no books. Also you'll have to do Marcus's chores until he recovers." She swept out of my room and slammed it shut, locking it behind her. I felt my cell-phone vibrate under my leg. I bought it with my own money and only had one contact. I have to pay my own plan so my step mom never takes it away. The one contact is my dad. But today I got another. Mason.
I look at the text. It's from Mason.
M:hey so how bad was it?
D: No books and extra chores for two weeks
M:you can still go places right?
D:yeah why?
M:well a couple of me and my friends were going bowling tonite. Wanna join?
D:id love tht. My smom doesn't care.
M:cool pick u up at 8
D:Kay c u then
My step mom really didn't care I called the house phone and told her. She said that as long as I didn't try to beat anyone else up it was fine. So I got ready to go bowling with my friend.
