Torn between fairy tales.

Chapter Nine

This morning I was awaken by a knock at the door. I rub my eyes and I sit up and look at the clock it's 7:37am. Holy crap I over slept I grab my clothes and open my door.  I run past Angela while she was in the middle of a sentence. I quickly run into the bathroom and quickly wash up and put my uniform on. I run down the stairs and I trip and fall half way down. I quickly stand up and fix my clothes. I hear the car honk outside so I take off running and grab my backpack and head out the door. Mark looks at me and laughs.
Mark:Do not worry we will not leave without you Amelia!

I laugh and get a little embarrassed and slide in the car and Mark shuts the door.
As soon as I get Karlie and Andrew are looking at me.
Karlie:Amelia? You okay?
Amelia:Ya I'm fine I just fell down the stairs.
Andrew:We can see that.

Andrew points at my torn knee sock absorbing some of my blood.  I look down at it and try to cover it.
Amelia:My alarm didn't go off. So I was in a hurry.
Karlie:You better get it cleaned up when we get to the campus.
Amelia: I will! Uhh it kinda hurts.
Andrew:I don't think the nurse is there today.
Amelia: I hope she is and maybe she has a a change of socks.
Karlie: Maybe...

We arrive on campus and I quickly but cautiously get out of the car and head over to the nurse's office. Just my luck she isn't there. I head over to the Biology class and no one is in there but Elliot.
Elliot:Hey!!  Amelia?.....
He looks at my knee and frowns.
Elliot:Come over here let me take a look.

I walk over to him arm he picks me up and sets me on my desk. He pulls down my sock and my knee is still bleeding.
Elliot:You wanna tell me what happened?
Amelia:Um well.... I fell down the stairs.

He gets a first aid kit out of his backpack.
He then opens the kit and takes out a damp cloth and a bandaid.
He gently wipes my knee then he puts the bandaid on it.
Elliot:You be careful going down those stairs now. Okay?
Amelia:Thanks! Ya I will try haha... So why do you have a first aid kit in your backpack?
Elliot:Well mostly because I'm the doctor on campus. Well assistant I'm learning to become a doctor.
Amelia: that's really cool .
He throws away the bloody wipe in the trashcan and puts the first aid kit back into his backpack. He reaches in his backpack and grabs a pair of socks and hands them to me.
Amelia: Thanks! Wow you just have everything you need in there don't you?
He laughs and smiles at me.
Elliot:I like being prepared.
I take off my bloody sock and put the clean one on. Just then Trey Carson walks in and sits down on the desk in front of me.
Trey:Hey Ames! And...Edward right?
Elliot: Um no that's my brother I'm Elliot.
Trey:Oh sorry I'll have to remember that. 
As we talk Ross comes in or shall I say Mr.Burke.
Ross:Where is Everyone?
Trey:You didn't hear?
Ross:Hear what?
Trey:A bunch of the students dropped your class.
Ross:What why? I didn't even know about this.
Ross leaves the room to go to the office.
Once he leaves three students come in.
Ashley Greene,James carpe and Lisa Avery.
Lisa:So I guess the rumors are true. A bunch of people did drop the class.
Amelia:Why?
James: Lets just say I heard some things.
Trey:Some things like what?
James:One of his "Students" was paying the other students to drop his class so he wouldn't have a class here anymore.
Amelia:Who would do something like that? Ross is a great teacher.... And we have only had like one class.
Trey:Great teacher or not someone don't want him here.
Ashley: Poor Mr.Burke.... If he doesn't at least 10 people in his class there isn't gonna be a class. There is only 6 of us.
Just them Ross comes back into the room.
Ross:I'm very sorry but it looks like there is no more biology class. If there is not at least 10+ students signed up for a class there won't be a class.
Amelia:Maybe I can ask Daphne,Andrew and Karlie to join the class.
Trey:I can ask lizzie to join then we'll have enough people to keep the class going.
Ross:I don't know if y'all can get them to join the class than I can continue to teach all of you but if y'all can't then you all should start looking for another class.
He starts cleaning out his desk. Poor Ross who would do that to him. I can't believe one of his Students paid off the others to leave his class.  You can tell Ross is very upset about it.
Ross:If any of you done the home work turn it if you want. It doesn't really matter though.
I grab my homework out of my backpack and walk up to his desk and hand it to him.
Ross: ummm thanks.
Amelia:Don't worry I'll see if my friends will join your class. I'm sure they will.
Ross: Its fine it is. You do not have to do anything.
Amelia:But I want to. You love this and I can tell. I'm gonna make sure your gonna stay and teach this class.
  Trey comes up behind me and he hands Ross his homework.
Trey: Me too. I gotta couple of friends who would join.
Ross stands up and looks at all of us.
Ross:Look guys I know y'all are trying to help but y'all do not have to. I'm fine I really am okay?
Just then the there is announcement over the intercom from the front office.
Office:There will be no second and third period classes today. Feel free to head to study hall or the cafeteria. Thank you.
Ashley,Lisa and James turn in their home work but not Elliot.  Every one leaves the class but I stay behind to talk to Ross.
Amelia:Um can I see you later?
Ross:Um ya sure okay. I guess I'll come by after school.
I smile at him and walk out the door to find Elliot waiting for me.
Elliot:What was that about?
Amelia: Uh well Ross is the grounds keeper and I was asking him to come by.
Elliot: What for?
Amelia: Um he needs to trim some trees by the cottage.
Elliot: Oh okay.
We walk to the study hall. As we walk the whole time all I think is why does he care  what I say to Ross? Maybe Elliot likes me I Don't know. So confused by him and I can't believe he didn't do the homework maybe he got paid off by one of the students. I don't know all I know Elliot is kinda weird ya he may be nice and kinda attractive......but he is weird.
