the girls rode their bikes over to heather's house, well right after max demanded for the two lousy workers to tell them where she lived..
"is this it?" max asked.
ignoring max's question, the girls narrowed their eyes at the door unlocking it telekinetically.
they could hear classical music being played faintly throughout the house.
as they headed inside, they spotted a photograph of heather and her parents.
"this is her house." max confirmed.
"what?" el questioned.
"heather's house." max clarified.
they headed further into the house, entering the dinning room where billy and heather's parents were.
"isn't that cute, huh?"
there was something way off about billy.
eve had met him one other time and that was when he stormed into max's room during a sleepover, yelling at her thinking she had stolen one of his inappropriate magazines.
"he's so funny."
billy turned over to the girls, raising a brow at them.
"max." billy said making the girls' presence known to the other adults in the room.
"we didn't mean to... barge in. we tried to knock, but... maybe you didn't hear us over the storm." max tried to explain.
she always felt nervous when around billy.
"i'm sorry, who is this dripping all over my living room right now?" asked heather's dad.
billy chuckled. "i'm sorry. janet, tom, this... is my sister, maxine." he introduced.
eve rolled her eyes.
"oh!" janet cried.
"what on earth are you doing here? is something wrong?" billy questioned, going up to them.
"we just wanted to make sure everything was okay." max stammered.
"okay? why wouldn't it be okay?" he asked.
he was being way too nice. this was definitely not the real billy.
"where is she?" eleven asked, getting straight to the point.
billy made eye contact with the twins, he sent a glare eve's way.
"i'm sorry where is who?" he questioned.
as if on cue, heather came in from the kitchen holding a tray of cookies.
